I miss my best friend. He has depression, and it's changed him - angry at the world and blaming himself. I thought I was helping. It turns out he was in love with me, but I just didn't feel the same. He left me a message saying he loves me and he wants me to be happy, and thanking me. I found out earlier tonight that he'd been sectioned because he'd tried to kill himself. His depression has changed him into a person I barely recognise. Please get better Jon, because I miss you; my best friend.<3

Flyleaf is more than a band to me. It's a salvation. Lacey, Jared, Sameer, James and Pat are such beautiful people and the music they create is stunning. For some reason I get the feeling it's about her ex closest friend and first husband. I don't know his name though. I feel bad mentioning it like it's bad or something but yeah... that's the feeling I get. I believe that this is one song that's about a friend rather than God :) not all love filled songs have to be directed towards the big G. She's still a person with friends and relationships.

@13hockeyswim13 believe me, sameer wrote this whole song. i've even wondered if jared even recorded on this track. yes, they all write parts to songs, but usually sameer writes both parts for his songs, because he plays lead guitar and jared plays rhythm. when sameer writes a song, he usually writes the rhythm part with lyrics, then gives the part to jared and the lyrics to lacey and does his own thing with his lead parts. so i thought, believe in dreams, set apart this dream, are some examples.

@13hockeyswim13 i know from my 5ish years of being a Flyleaf fan Sameer wrote this song. he didnt write the bass part or drums..... and yes. i know all the guitar things about flyleaf. every single song, pretty much every part, i know who wrote what for almost every flyleaf song, and how things were written. the three writers have their own styles. Sameer usually picks an object for his songs, then writes about how friendship or dreams effects that object.

Because in the song she says " I wait for your answer But I already know, Your hand was always mine" Her "letters" are prayers...and when she said "Your hand is always mine" that means God already knew what she was praying about before she even "wrote the letter" or basically prayed about it. And she misses that deep connection she had with God, when she "fell in love" with Him. Christianity is a relationship, not a religion :)
