CBS This Morning - Gingrich got 46% of S.C. evangelical vote

Gingrich´s message (whatever it is) resonates strongly with the tea party, even though he is clearly the posterboy for corporate cronyism in gov´t which the tea party has been railing against. Somehow this obvious disconnect is easily ignored when Gingrich´s spews resentment and hatred, and persistly attacks Obama with clear racist undertones. It´s a symptom that something really unhealthy is emerging out of the swampy morass of GOP politics where Gingrich strives and thrives.

Romney, Newt, Santorum, Obama...no difference. The GOP must be taught a lesson: stop dishing out proponents of big government and globalism. If RP is not the nominee, I will vote third or fourth party, or not at all. I will not vote for the republican version of Obammy.

Also, the majority of the time the only reason Liberals know about things Republicans do is because we police our own and call them out. Then the liberals somehow turn around and make it sound they they caught it. And the so called 99%er occutards are really the 1%. I actually want to be a millionaire. It's my right in this country to persue that and no one can punish me for it. No bum should be able to take anything they haven't earned nor should the rich be punished for being successful.

Funny how the democrats on here still support their lefty friends regardless of their destructive nature. All Democratic Presidents have tried to do or have accomplished destructive things that the majority, and I say again, the MAJORITY, of Americans don't want. H.W. Bush tried to raise taxes and Republicans said NO because we police our own. Your party does things and you guys just go along with it blindly. Can you afford health insurance? Get ready to because in 2014, it'll be mandatory.

Newt is the current front runner because he is the most qualified and honest candidate. Profanity shows a lack of intelligent argument and strengthens the cause for Newt. I hope

Rick Santorum will be on the Gingrich ticket. They would be a great team and America would have a chance to repair the damage of the Obama administration.

@rettek808 Confidence will not win. History will. I don't know who will win but I am happy he is winning. I do think Newt's history has been over exposed yet he still remains the front runner. Do you have anything new? So far the attacks are NOT working. On the contrary Newt Gingrich is leaping ahead! The Obama campaign is very serious about Newt Gingrich and is not laughing at all. Over confidence blinds the fool. Being prepared brings the vigilant victory.

I thing there were a lot of Democrats having fun in an open primary, trying to make it dramatic for Romney, & some Tea Party supporters that may have declared themselves Evangelicals.

With all due respect for repentance and forgiveness, I don't think Newt is the Evangelical-Conservative best choice. They had Santorum there with a lot better record from an Evangelical point of view. But who knows...I never understood how a black cow eats green grass and gives white milk, but I still drink it...

I believe Newt can win in a debate against Obama but it's up to the American people to decide if they want more promises that a lefty will never keep or allow Newt to work his magic like he did in the 90's alongside a liberal President. We'll see I guess. We can either take a cheater who accomplishes things, or a straight edge who does near nothing. I mean, that's our choice right now for the Republican nomination.

SC voters are absolutely mentally inept to the point that their right to vote represents a danger to the rest of us. CNN put forth a parade of these mentally challenged citizens. I heard one fellow say, “It doesn’t matter if we fix our economy if we are not following God.” These are the same people that made a multi-millionaire out of Jim Baker, and even after you found out he was spending your money on whores, you still supported him. Why aren’t Catholic Church leaders speaking out against Newt and Rick? They are both using their Catholic religion to get votes, but neither stands for what the Catholic Church teaches. Abortion and Gay marriage are the only issues that they agree on. The Catholic Church leaders have damaged more children lives (child molestation) and has supported many gay relationships (homosexual priests). Oh, my bad, maybe Newt and Rick do represent the right Church. Hypocrisy!
