  • garage NOT punk! come on now!

  • @eevlwich lol....

  • This is more of garage rock than punk. One could even argue surf rock because of the guitar chords and drum beat. Still this pretty sick, pure, raw rock and roll

  • Punk? I don't think so. If these guys are punk, then so were The Yardbirds, Stevie Ray Vaughn, etc. ad nauseum. This IS the style that punk based it's "return to the roots of Rock" on, for sure, but not punk at all. Punk was a reactionary movement against over produced and overly technical (in a musical sense) styles. Overproduction was only just beginning to happen when these guys were around. There wasn't really much to "react to" yet. This is just Rock 'n Roll. But it IS good stuff!

  • @TheSentientParadox I agree that this isn't punk, but the band is playing very "loose" so I can see where the "punk" opinion would come in. Very "rock n' roll", the way it should be played. Cool tune!

  • Used to play shows with these guys way back then. Class guys with great energy. Wesley still plays with Kat Daddy in Ft Worth. Billy Ham still around and ripping.

    Tommy Phillips

    The Extremes 1966

  • One of those guys is my grandpa!:-D dont remeber which 1 though

  • Little Steven -- this one's for you.

  • Au Go-Go Deluxe! This takes me back. Bring this back in 2012! Simple but KING TONE!

  • My baby does the hanky panky . . . .

  • @humanewman Yep!

  • This is garage! Awesome.

  • ♪♪♪♪

  • These guys sound like they are from SoCal circa 1962 - 1965. Terrific garage/surf sound!

  • This is like soundtrack music for an AIP biker flick circa 1965/1966. I grew up with stuff like this! LOVE THIS!

  • Great record, wonder where they are today..

  • A little like an Animals album played on 45. Not bad!

  • This music makes me feel so good ......

  • Beatle-esque surf-blues monster garage punk....Now what could possibly be better!?

  • It is so incredibly interesting to find all these unknown great bands from the 60s. I have never before been in contact with The Nomads. But, everything feels so real and so cool.

A couple of minutes ago - I listened to "The Missing Ling" from Australia. The same feeling - rare and cool.

And earlier today I found a fantastic unknown band from the mid 60s. THE ZETTLERS. Check out their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah".

  • @TheSunbau I agree with you about suddenly discovering so much amazing garage from the 60s here. Just by following 'Recommended' videos, I've discovered about 5 new amazing bands.

  • @hazuinf doing just that is the exact hobby what brings me some of the greatest happiness in my life

  • 27 years old and this is the best shit made.

  • kids were raw

  • @TeenageShutdown01 Sure were. And to think there were millions of them in the U.S of A.

  • The Nomads are also a band in Stockholm Sweden

  • The Nomads are also a band in Edmonton Alberta CA

  • @brave313 There was a Nomads from South Carolina "Something's Wrong With My Baby"

  • Nomad Bill Ham later joined The Yellow Payges, but the Nomads were an entirely different group. As stated, Tthe Nomads hailed from Fort Worth, but The Yellow Payges formed in Torrance, California.

  • @60sgaragebands Bill Ham the ZZ Top producer?

  • @mrJimCharles Not this Bill Ham.

  • @60sgaragebands The Yellow Payges had been around a while when Bill Ham joined them. He brought along Bob Barnes from The Elite with him and they replaced exiting Yellow Payges.
