Very well done! I especially like your use of the "Twister" clips! The clips involving armies indicates a change in the story I wish someone would pick up and write into a script. And I think Ofelia would make a uniquely different Dorothy! My only qualm: Where's the Wicked Witch of the West? Were I to pick a letter grade for this, I'd give it an A -

This story is set after Dorothy went the first time. Now the Gnome King is in power :)

I just learned that a film based upon Todd McFarlane's Wizard of Oz toy line is in the works. It's supposed to be much darker and set on epic scale.

I thought I recognized a few of the clips. (Including the McDonough soundbyte!) :) LOVE the idea. Then again, Oz is a fanficcer's dream or nightmare because of the copious continuity bugs.

Are you familiar with the adventure game Emerald City Confidential? That actually nailed the right balance I think between darkness and characteristic Oz light heartedness. It also has a lot of the original characters :)

That's from a miniseries on the SYFY (then SciFi) channel callled Tin Man which was actually a grittier re-imagining of the Oz story itself!

I think CGI should be at the mercy of a good story, not the other way around. You can have all the effects in the world and still come off boring if there's nobody to care about.

I can see it now: as the Gnome King loses ground to the resistance he creates a new type of warrior, part gnome part Kalidah. And he uses them to lay siege to the Wicked Witch of the West's Castle, where Dorothy and friends and the Winkies prepare to hold them off.

If you look carefully its a long scene cut in half with no repeated footage. It was supposed to be a theme that repeats at the end to tie the trailer together, showing the fall of the Emerald City.
