Rich makes a good point. The need for validation, especially in the gay community where those of us that are raised with high religiosity, is so strong, it's not hard to see why people make the choices they do. Any type of validation, no matter how fleeting is the goal.

I agree. Sirius OutQ in general is a great channel on the radio. The ONLY gay radio station on satellite. Definitely worth the subscription!
