not even close to an HD resolution. i hate the bullshit thats going on with camcorders.
when you buy a tv that says FULLHD it is full hd - what makes camcorders a special case where you can simply lie about features? most camcorders that say full hd actually record some retarded long forgotten standard like 480p (in your face, youtube).
the law prohibits peeing outside ffs, how can something as relevant as advertising be so uncontrolled then?
@SuckItLily guess what. youtube resizes the videos to something like 4Mbit/s man, the full hd files are to big, theyre massive. if u want a real hd clip buy the camera or download a sample, or better yet, shut up! and go piss outside, sucka
@DXm8 you dont get it, man, dont shoot the messenger. real full hd cameras start at thousands of dollars. below that they they output full hd signal but dont actually record at that resolution. just look it up.
the ban on peeing outside was an example, i was making a point. marihuana being illegal - there are lots of well established yet nonsensical laws.
How are the stills from this camera? Some reviews sort of played them down, saying they weren't really 10 mp quality and were somehow blurred and faded. Anyone?
It's not really 10MP at all...it's 3 X 3 MP that's been subjected to some kind of software tweak...so it's actually bullshit for them to be saying it's 10 MP at all.
Point taken but you're still paying an extra £550. That's a lot of money for a family to fork out when the HD20 is a perfectly adequate, user friendly entry level HD camcorder
I see the TM300 aimed more at the keen enthusiast able to master and utilize those extra features. Not to mention someone with a very healthy bank balance. :-)
Considering the HDC SD-20 has 1 MOS sensor and this model has 3, I cannot see enough quality improvement to justify the huge price difference between each model.
I see the increase in colour and picture sharpness. However, what you're actually paying for is the Memory, Ring, Electronic Viewfinder, Cold Shoe and 10 Mpixel stills - NOT for a significant increase in colour, sharpness and noise reduction.
1MOS vs 3MOS is a con. I purchased the SD20 from QVC for £296. The TM300 costs £850!!
lets see this at 24p or even 30p and see what it does to the hdc sd-20, plus all those things you listed are DEFFINETELY things worth paying the extra for, not to mention tapeless workflow is much easier and more quality to work with
Such a gay and bariole display.
congratulations, camco.
Cheers.

this or Sony HDR-XR520V? confused
lukauskis 2 years ago
the XR520 all the way, the colors are more real and vibrant
nightsaturn 2 years ago
yeah me thinks either. now do u know:
is it good to buy HDR-XR500V? not HDR-CX500V - it's newer, can't find that cheap.. and dunno about feature advantages of that new one
lukauskis 2 years ago
The difference is that the CX500v is way more compact and has 32GB instead of 120GB, even if the CX has a sleek cool design, the XR500v is perfect

I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE QUALITY but it is a hd video camera

I don't think it is 10MP by default.

There is not a single consumer or prosumer video camera that shoots 10 MP
Full High Definition is just over 2 MP and most of the CCD and CMOS chips don't even do 2
