Do you have suggestions for people who only have short planes? Those long ones are pretty costly. I've seen people use routers, but I like the way your plane makes less noise, less dust, and uses less power.

My big plane was an Arnt (sp) made in Indian, and was only $95 online.
You might see if you can add a steel plates to the sides of your plane to make it longer, but a long plane is always better.
