  • It's more admirable to say i can military press 325lbs without the assistance of a spotter helping me through the entire movement

  • Sweet curls bro. Shame about that guy in the chair trying to ruin it tho...

  • really? I call that some amt of weight, zero reps. -1

  • i didnt know lifting was team sport??

  • whats the point in this? you have a pussy spotter helping you by basically upright rowing the bar up and you didnt even touch your chest. Drop the weight and build your weights....not your ego. This has no value doing it like this!

  • a real press is when no on is touching the bar. You dont see weightlifting contests with people touching the bar, please. If he is afraid he cant press then throw it on the ground, bring frickin deal

  • Check out white chocolate thunder

    340 lb press seated

  • music sucks, why put heavy music+? you arent a tough guy if you put music like this. you are a coward.

  • The guy in the red was zoned out for a few seconds due to the hot blonde in the background starting at 0:21

  • they should rename this "spotter gets a good bicep workout!"

  • Dude in red was getting a hell of a great biceps workout...

  • Great workout bro!

  • Good weight, keep on going.

  • There is nothing wrong if your spotter touches the bar for safety reasons as long as he is not helping.

  • yes there is natte. this guy should go down to 275 and try for one legit spotter free to the chest rep!

  • Well how do you know he was helping? He could have just had his hand there for safety reasons like the guy said. And even if he ws there is nothing wrong with forced reps here and there to get used to heavier weights. Im sure this guy could have gotten 275 easy for a full rep. Not everyone can do full reps for certain reasons. Maybe It irritates his shoulders. That is the way I do seated millitary is to the chin.

  • hands on the bar is always helping. you can tell, because the second rep went up super quick, and it didnt ''look'' like the spotter helped at all. ive lifted wioth spotters who barely touch the bar and it flies up, and these are weak kids. theres no need to have a spotter for safety reasons if your lifting within your capabilities. i think 275 would be his max.

  • Unless they are apllying "pressure" they are not helpig period. But obviously whatever this guy has been doing has worked for him. I mean I can't do that much seated..lol

  • you're wrong nate. even just touching the bar provides stabilization and makes it a smith press. it doesnt ;LOOK like pressure is applied in the second rep, but it obviously was since the bar zoomed up. you cant tell that no pressure was applied on the first rep too.ITS impossible to tell if pressure was applied by looking at this epecially since we know that pressure was applied on the second rep when it appeared there was none.l btw you commented last yer btw my math test went pretty well ;)

  • Ok whatever you can believe what you want to but the guy is strong regardless.lol And thats good your test went good I knew you'd pull through!

  • The first rep his hands were just on the bar, its a mental thing for me, and if you took time to read the caption the second rep was a forced rep, I just took the neg he helped on the up. and no I cant go to chest because I have bone spurs in my left shoulder from an old injury

  • ARE YOU the guy in the vid? anyway lifting is 60 percent mental if you cant do it without the spotter stabilizing and helping you resist the negative you cant do it. im sure with 225 hes perfectly mentally fine with no spotter. im not the strongest military presser i do 175 or so but i sure as hell dont have a spotter doing it also rofl.

  • @rctriplefresh5 yes I am the guy in the vid. I dont have him stabilizing the negative his hands are just there in case I lose the bar, was a new weight for me and at 32 years old I didnt feel like blowing a rotator if something went wrong. The first rep was clean the second rep was a forced negative.

  • hey good lift man, regardless of what other people are saying that is alot of weight

  • you call that lifting. He was not even lifting it all the way down.

  • geekhater30; you don't all the way down on a press. It has no benefit to your delts in any way shape or form and you damage your tendons.

  • Look, I had been lifting in high school and a little bit in college. I was told that the bar has to touch my chest. I just followed the rules and assumed they were right. I see some truth to what you have said, and It actually makes it alot easier to lift more weight when its not touching your chest area.

  • yah, a lot of times the advice people get in high school / college isn't the best. Going to the chest isn't healthy at all for your tendons. When you get below about ear level your delts probably aren't even activated at 50% even.

  • whats the name of the song?

  • ma la bionda che passa dietro fa parte dell'allenamento???

  • Not a lift. Spotter is touching the bar.

  • 1st off it is 325. there are 2 45's each side, 1 35 and a 10 and 5 making 325. Been trianing 14 years, I know how to count weights.

Second I have my spotter keep his hands there because 1 it is my 1 rep max, 2 because I have a bad rotator and I want his hands there immediately if I lose control. But I am glad I make you insecure enough that you posted that

  • i dont respect lifts where the spotter is always touching the bar, for all weknow that could have been only 225 with the spotters help

  • Thats 290 pounds.. buts still really impressive..

  • damn great lift!

  • Damn... He's so strong.

  • DAMN
