Hmmmmmm, A soundtrack for a strange dream - featuring Elliott Smith who glances into a mirror - his reflection is momentarily Freddie Mercury(!) then changes into Ziggy Stardust era David Bowie before morphing into Peter Gabriel soliloquizing a susurrous & Byzantine passage in a lost cut from "Selling England By The Pound". I think Mr. Barnes has spent a lot of time in his parent's record library.
Interesting as this genre is completely foreign to me, and sounds like jarring noise, tho I want to hear it more because it IS different and explores a lot of sounds I'm not familiar with.
I love how this manages to take all the best elements of False Priest and Skeletal Lamping and Hissing Fauna and kinda combine it with Coquelicots-style instrumentals and melodies. This is way good.
I. AM. IMPRESSED! Best thing I've heard from them since Hissing Fauna. Never got into False Priest, I just bought controllersphere and its alright. But THIS, this is beautiful!
@aaronbasskin1 I agree. Hissing Fauna and Skeletal Lamping were awesome. False Priest wasnt as good. Controllersphere was even worse. cant listen to it around any of my friends cause its so weird and noisy.
@KyleboKyleByle I agree. False Priest slumped off tremendously. Controllersphere...probably a gem we'll be dusting off in 5 years going yeah, why didn't I hear it that way before. Looking foward to something solid like PS.
