My DSi messed up... I was playing Zenonia and on the loading level screen, it just stopped. I couldn't even turn it off! I was forced to wait until the battery went dead, which took 3 and a half weeks!

D: Hope that doesn't happen to me, my game is messed up already as it is (i traded for cheated Pokemon, now it randomly freezes...o____o) well, Dialga IS the master of time, soooo, maybe it was trying to freeze your DS in time.....on off mode? XD Sorry, best explanation I can come up with for that. XD Next time, spare to poor innocent Golbat! (:

Maybe the cartage is messed up. I recommend either sending it to nintendo or buying a new cartage or maybe it is the ds is old.
