I remember the doctor used to dim the lights and let me nurse my daughter alone after she had her shots, to calm her down.
He'd let me stay as long as I wanted....I'd nurse her, change her diaper if needed, etc.
And when Hurricane Isabel hit this area and nobody had electricity or water, all I had to do was nurse her; no scouting around for water to mix formula.
