Plus the OST was awesome! It had simple battle mechanics but it also had the interaction that you have with Baby that was never done before in any other RPG. This and Wild Arms (1+2) bring back good memories.

Sure, sure it didn't have glossy graphics or a convoluted storyline, but GC was so charming, with a well-plotted involving storyline, good dialogue and genuine characters that you remembered after the final credits. It's one of those games where it seems straightforward but takes you on a genuine adventure so that you can't believe how far both you and the characters had arrived, and you can't help but look back on it fondly. I'm so glad that I kept my copy of this game.
-evil grin- the repeatitive (as in loop, not all the music sounds the same) gameplay music in this game used to piss my mum off really bad when i was a kid ^-^ but i freakin loved it, still do, this has the most annoying but the most awesome gamplay music ever
Little known fact: This game has a maximum level cap of 9999, but because the maximum experience you need for level-up is only 32767, you can actually get to level 10000 if you gain more than 32767 exp in one battle. This is possible by using a living toy that doubles your experience after battle.
Not that you'd ever want or need to get to level 9999 anyway, you can beat this game at as low as level 30 without too much trouble, since the final boss' stats are largely based on yours. The highest level I've obtained without cheating was around 500, and that was during my grinding phase, so it's really unrealistic to do so.
I finish this game when i was 9, i'm 18 now, it is very exciting when you figthing the gaurdian try to get the legendary armor, and the toys ,hehe, bring back old memories

i remember i read the entire strategy guide on Tips & Tricks magazine. I have never played it. But it was pretty good to just read the strategy guide lol. i will play it on PSP now.
This game was underlined because of the lousy graphics but if you look deeper this game is the total classic, this game was fricking awesome, the only thing this game really didnt have was the graphics if it had like Final Fantasy then this wouldve been worth a 10/10 which it even should be without graphics EPIC!!!

Indeed, that would be amazing. A remake of this game for the 7th Gen Consoles. It should have a mounted 3rd person camera... the aggro system still implemented, and same story and gameplay. Of course, new gen graphics along with the already epic storyline is killer. >:D

I started playing this game again yesterday at noon. I finished it in 23 hours (playtime) today. It is an amazing game, especially for a 1999 ps1 game. Flying is slower than walking...that was annoying. The greatest things about this game is the storyline and music. I've heard the overworld song for the majority of my gameplay--i'm still not tired of it. In my opinion, best music out of any other playstation game.
