This is inspiring and warm. Another one of God's miracles.I find it wonderful to find people caring for injured animals and wildlife. I admire Jeff for his compassion and pray that his cancer will stay In remissom.It must be incredibly peaceful even spiritual being in that area of forest mountains and rivers.
I love this...I am a photographer and LOVE birds of prey, always have. My new husband has cancer as well. Know that I am ecstatic that you found each other at exactly the right time for both of you. There are NO coincidences- it is fate!
I had a similar experience as Jeff, during the same timeframe! Birds of prey are God's greatest creation. I tracked Jeff down in WA and sent him an email. I hope to hear back from him and someday meet him and Freedom. Other terminal cancer patients have had remarkable encounters with Freedom. My experience was when I was rehabbing a great horned owl named Yeti (very white feathers). The feeling is nearly indescribable. Jeff does a great job of trying to articulate it though. Hence the book, lol.
Your video brought me to tears, Jeff. You truly do have a special connection with this bird~how lucky for both of you! Keep up the great work at Sarvey Wildlife & keep writing books, too!
Listening to your story and seeing that beautiful Eagle has touched my soul. Thanking you for saving her life and caring so much even through your own illness just doesn't seem enough. Please research "Wild Oil Of Oregano P-73" and combined that with Vitamin D-3 (organic). Take care and be well William!! Much Love - AC
That is not the largest bald eagle I have seen. I have seen one with a longer beak and wider wing span. I am over in southern Maryland and this area, like Va, is actually teeming with the birds - you have to know where to find them but they are there.
@JessieKetias Go ahead and get your face that close to a "random eagle" and see how long it takes you to start screaming about your missing eye or whatever the predator tore out of you with it's big, razor-sharp beak...
I loved hearing your story. I myself am fighting a daily fight with SLE (lupus) and heart disease. It gets me down alot and this story brightened my spirits. I am sharing it with all my friends on FB who are in a support group on there Learning To LIve With Lupus. I hope it does for them what your story did for me. Thank you for posting this.
beautiful story, I read the book cover to cover and I am not a reader, I loved it, I laughed, I cried, and I rejoiced for both of you, I live in central Florida, and since reading the book it seems my eyes either have been opened to the true beauty of all birds of prey or they just started flying all around me. everyday i have mutable encounters and love it, wish I could find a place close to here to volunteer at.
Very neat story...thanx for caring for this great bird...and glad to hear you beat the cancer. I wish more of us would care about nature and our wildlife. btw, if you have time check out my free book...Simply search: The Dawn of Intelligence
The eagle did not cure the guys cancer. He does not say this. He was helped to fight the cancer. If you read the readers digest version of his story it shows he thought about positive things in this case the bird which helped him beat the cancer. Not so unbelievable as one might think. Having reasons to live helps tremendously in life.

give me a break - the bs people will say just to sell a book - the eagle knew he had cancer? The eagle has cured several people? Are people really that idiotic to believe this? Shame on him for exploiting and lying to sell his book - I've talked to bird experts - birds are unable to show human emotions - get the facts people - don't let yourselves be manipulated and fooled by this con artist
I'v saw this on animal planet, amazing story, Its hard to believe, I can't describe if that were to ever happen to me, an eagle hug lol thats an amazing yet heart warming story.
brings tears of joy and love in my heart every time I watch or read anything about this amazing beautiful animal and a wonderful man...you are both blessed and we are blessed to be a small part...Thank You
I am reading this book right now...how it is so touching, full of hope and how this man as this amazing bond with this eagle. It's for sure a must read!!

Awesome, awesome so inspiring the power of nature and God's creature's. The Bible said's "A righteous man as regards for his animals.
But they that wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.

Just because this eagle an animal does not mean it does not have feelings. it did not show human emotions alright, but it displayed affection.
Domesticated or not anything living display more emotion and affection to me than humans do. just look at nature and don't think with your brain.
