  • i have feeling to his violin playing

  • This is my first time hearing this concerto so when I searched on Youtube I wanted to pick a good violinist for my first impression and was excited to find Heifetz's recording. I'm glad I did!

  • That cadenza is just SO well played. That slow acceleration back to normal tempo at the end was a masterstroke. Exquisite phrasing, beautiful tonal color and emotion. That last part of the first movement from 3:29, man what a change in the mood, what incredible intensity! it's beautiful!

But the recording has dimmed the orchestra's huge sound spectrum.

  • Heifetz and Mendelssohn

This is God communicating with us.

  • 1 dislikes!!! How can you NOT like this music and Heifetz? You must be tone deaf and emotionally stunted at birth! Just listen to rap and stay away from classical music. You just don't get it.

    Sigh.

  • Who was the idiot who disliked this?

  • Yeah yeah Heifetz is a king yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

  • AHHH...so rich sounding...

  • 4:30 to 5:35 - So so incredibly emotionally haunting and so sweet ! After that my whole day just looked full of heart-warming feelings. Mendelssohn is an incomparable genius

  • omg! i just made the 36000'th view!!

  • Heifetz was a god in the violin

  • how can anyone not like this?

  • why don't you offer the full performance? Perlman and now this... really annoying.

  • Yes, agree with you!!

  • It blew you away because it was played by the greatest violinist ever recorded!

  • HOLY MACKERAL. O_O

  • Just hate the interruption between part 1 and part 2.

  • Yeah sorry about that. Youtube only allows a maximum video length of 10 minutes.

  • @wmd10 - Not your fault, but it is annoying! Thanks for the OUTSTANDING & BEAUTIFUL music! :{)

  • yeah well, no offense, but cutting it at 0:57 would be more acceptable

  • @wmd10 now they allow video longer than 10 minutes! consider uploading it again?
