It wouldnt surprise me if I have given you 20,000 of those 36,000 views haha.
I'm a young guitar player, and I took an interest in learning Seu Jorge, Djavan and Jobim. And I learned about you because of your oceano cover. which i still havnt gotten down, because i found this song. This song amazes me. I play it to try to learn, you lose me on the intro, and i finish the song and start over. and over. and over. the cover is impecable. I also enjoy your favorite things cover.
I have only been playing a short time and I continue to make progress yet I do struggle with getting through pieces without error. I have to ask and you dont have to answer, are you from a seaboard state?
I don't do a lot of exercises. I warm up doing scales with m & a (middle and ring fingers of picking hand) because they're the slowest to get going. then from time to time i work on speed scales (intro to Villa Lobos Etude 7) and tremolo practice but not often.
It's a cool piece in D minor. Afro Samba. Dropped D and so nice on a guitar with a thick bass.
Has some tricky variations. Got the music from Stephen Bell over 20 years ago and always play what I can remember from it. Damn; I've forgotten more pieces than I know now.
Errr ..... *my comments* are getting repetitive, *my comments*! Ugghh.
Having said that I still think that men have an unfair advantage (bigger hands, in general, ergo longer fingers/reach + strength) and that this can be the *only* plausible explanation why (rough guestimate of mine) about 98% of all commonly known guitar legends are male.
I'm certain it ain't got diddly to do with skill (cough, cough).
I misplaced the URL of the "Become-a-Guitar-Hero-in-One-Week" course you took.
I knew what you meant. thanks again. I won't comment on the males/guitars thing cause I don't want to get in the middle of any firestorms you might be starting.
Your amazing! I have been watching your videos and been a subscriber for quite a few months now. I don't know if your done with beatles covers but, if I may, if you could do a rendition of happiness is a warm gun, that would be fantastic. Thank you so much...
Tony, I take my hat of for you, this is absolutely wonderful playing and great composition(beautiful chord sequence) and you're totally into that uplifting Brazilian Groove man, simply wonderful, greets Vic.
Bravo - inspite of arthritis in my left index & middle fingers - you have inspired me to put down the SG & LP & pick up my 40 yr old Epiphone - Beautifully done, thanks for sharing!
Hi Tony: Today we'll have a great tribute on Ipanema's beach to celebrate the BossaNova's 50 years.I hope that keeps raining, 'cause each time that those kind of big events happens, the city becomes a real mess, with everything durty and broken around, without talking about the usuals "mijões de rua" (piss on the streets). Saudade of the old Rio's times!
As always - you never cease to amaze me. Ironically I just bought this album a while back, and this is my favorite track:D So as always, thank you ^_^ - absolutely fantastic.

It's getting repetitive but, yet again, fascinating!
I will add though that the visual picture alone is an entire 5-course meal d'exellence.
Watching the elegance and smoothness of your finger work simply adds another dimension to something that is "as good as it gets".
