  • "Okay, today we're going to show you how to make a T-shirt. First, we start with a T-shirt..."

Wrong! To make a T-shirt, you have to start at least with a piece of cloth, but if you want, you can start with working up a field, planting and harvesting cotton. Then you remove the seeds, clean and fluff the cotton fibers, spin them into thread, run the thread through a jersey knitting machine, cut off a piece of knit fabric, cut out rightly-shaped pieces, and sew them together to make a T-shirt.

  • I Don't Got that Kind Of Money Bro

  • @YourNumberJuan I just started out my own shirt company. All I do is iron on the design to blank shirts I ordered offline. They actually turn out pretty good.

  • Nice! Whatever gets the job done.

  • @monstrinsideme92 but wear off quick

  • @CreepingDeathaAH Not as bad as you'd think. Every shirt wears off eventually anyways. It's about the same as a normal shirt. Depending on the quality of iron on transfers you use.

  • @monstrinsideme92 i wana see

  • @monstrinsideme92 where do you get your blanks from?

  • This is How to "Print" A T Shirt, not make one.....

  • Can you print on Sleeves?

  • I suppose the tee he's wearing is from when he was practicing how to line the shirts up correctly.

  • @deehurtz That's how the shirt was designed. Here at The Ryde we like to play around with print placement/ mix it up a bit.

  • is it longer lasting that screen printing?

  • i love the way stay together for the kids is playing in the backround <3

  • ya sorry but not all of us have those fancy machines

  • hei nice...

with this kind of ink, I did not see any step of pretreatment . Was the pretreatment (chemical sprayed onto tshirt before printing) done by "brother" printer?

I also noticed you don't have to do the post treatment spray, only heat press would cure the ink.

Mine, I have to manually spray for the post treatment then put it for heat press. however the ink get smeared during the spraying. would love to try this ink. how can I buy this ink? do you have white ink as well?

  • was this filmed with a calculator?

  • I love how blink 182 just randomly plays in the background lol

  • How much is the equipment all together?

    thanks

  • It's the gt 540 garment printer by brothers.

  • how much is that printer? and how much is the ink?

  • whats the actual model of this printer?

  • fuckin stupid... buy iron on paper, use your printer at home or school. TADAAAA!!!!

  • sounds like Hardstyle xD

  • great tips, is there some kind of courses or classes i can take to learn more?

  • why do people insist on listing this is as how "make" a t shirt? this is how you print a t shirt design, not how you physically sew a t shirt together.

  • BLINK IN THE FUCKING BACKGROUND !!!!!!! YYEEEEAAAAAH!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOW

  • im guessing you preheated the press before bak- before "curing" the shirt at 360 degrees.

  • do you reckon instead of the heat compresser i could use an iron?

    :)

  • actually i was looking all over youtube for a video like this im glad there is one.

  • Lame design printed with dtg? Even Lamer video. About as entertaining as watching INK DRY. Oh Wait! We were!

Must be lots of folks looking for answers here, amazing amount of page views.

  • how much does that printer cost????

  • next time... microphone please!!

  • can you tell me what is the name of the printer ?

    and How much?

And where can I get it?

  • one color? i could get that done in about a quarter of the time useing a home built SP machine.

  • Esse processo é muito lento.

  • hi, do you know how t-shirts are painted ,those ones that are entirely coloured ,not only a picture like you did in this video,i mean for example your t-shirt is green ,how it is painted? because since it is cotton made ,initialy it was white no?

i ask this because i have a t-shirt that is entirely coloured but it has many colours and the colour doesnt feel like it was painted (any part of the t-shirt is the same ,at the hand touch.. LIKE a blank t-shirt ) thank you!!

  • where can i get the ink?

  • @shadowdota1

Try Stitch City in Long Beach, CA

  • @YourNumberJuan do you use a special printer

  • what if i dont have a printer that big?

  • @artistickilla47

Then you need to get one.

  • @YourNumberJuan your fuckin retarded those printers are like $300 + sooooooo how to fuck are we sposde to do that

  • @YourNumberJuan What if i dont have the money to get it?

  • @YourNumberJuan Awesome suggestion lol

  • @artistickilla47 u can buy $400 machines and send of your art to a company that makes it into wax paper so ur machine can put it on t shirt. the wax paper cost bout £1 or more or bit less depending on colours there is a guy on youtube who advertises these t's so if u looked alot

  • @BluSUBsound ahh ok thanks..

  • so easy, it's so boring...

  • @depadisco

It's just another way to print a tee.

  • now where did i leave my 2000 dollar t shirt machine?

  • how much is the printer

  • Cool,

I don't have one of those printers!

  • What kind of ink do you use to do that?

  • Water base ink

  • YUDU

  • good thing I happen to have one of those machines in the closet!

  • With all due respect:

    1.) Thanks for the upload.

2.) It was the most useless t-shirt production how-to video I've seen.

3.) It was not worth my 3:27. There was very little content and too much reluctant self promotion.

  • blink 182 <3

  • so you do need a special printer to do this?

  • hi can you tell me where do you get black t shirt, they look very good quality

    thanks

  • hey where do you get blank t shirt. it look very good quality. could you tell me

    thanks

  • Yeah Blink!!! y'all are officially awesome in my book :D

  • Second question is: How has the technology improved since you posted this video?

Oh...and do you still screen print as well?

Which is faster...which method do you use most often for big orders?

  • Using water based inks-what would be the process for printing an all-over front & back design...quite possibly including the sleeves? Is that something you're familiar with?

  • what kind of paper would i have to use to print a logo from my inkjet, and apply it on a t-shirt using a heat press?

  • can u print designer logos onto it like armani and gucci

  • Check out stitch city.

  • Where can you get one of those printers and how much they cost?

  • how many color can you print in one only design?

  • Damn! How much is a printer like that gonna cost!? And how 'bout the ink too?

  • totally awesome!! and blink in the background yeahhhhhhh ! :)

  • Wow... How do u afford to stock all those shirts!? ITS MADNESS THERE R SO MANY OF THEM!

  • where do u buy this machine and how does it work??

  • can you print oversize prints? 28k i a lot of money.

  • @jamesisaak777

You only print 14x16 on this unit. The newer 782 model prints bigger.

  • Where can you buy one of those machines?

  • wow u have alot of shirts man wher u can got so many that u dont got at a usually outlett store or stuff like this

  • 0:35 Stay Together for the Kids!! BLINK-182

  • THANK YOU guys for helping people ..

  • you cant do that one shirt any faster with silk screening.......you have to first make the print the transparent part then do the buring and then put the liquid paint on the screen oh wait there is a few steps i skipped but all that for one shirt? come on silk screening is going down the drain.

  • Not cost effective at all! i could have screen printed and fully cured that tee in 45 secs to one minute. It would be foolish to spend what that equipment costs if all you do is one color designs like that. Transfer has it's place but it is not cost or time effective. Transfer not as durable as direct screen print. Evenso...transfer process has its big fans and definitely is a very strong market. Cool to see the various ways of doing things.

  • @YouTees what is all that mean?

  • Yes, everybody has a machine, like this.

  • mint song !

  • @lukeiveson Dam i agree!!!!!

  • can you please tell me how much the digital printing machine is? (the brothers) and the heat press? thank you soooo much <3

  • @graceestores

way too expensive for anything but commercial use.

I looked at some prices here in germany a while ago, I remember it was around 12k €, at least !

    Which ist about 17000 $.

The brother in the clip is probably the GT-451, perhaps the 541.

Prices will be around 15-20k $.

Gotta sell a lotta t shirts, to make that a worthy investment.

Otherwise just go to a guy like in the clip and let him print your shirts :).

  • uyiuiuy

  • Good thing i've got some spare change in my pocket to buy one of those machines!! ..... >.>

  • YourNumberJuan: First thank you for posting this video.

You order your blanks in a large quantity. But have you considered creating them yourself? Or would this not be an economically viable option?

    Thank You.

  • how much does that machine cost?

  • Around 28 thousand

  • haha... guess ill stick to screen printing for now. i know the quality is def better on that machine. but do you think its faster than say a 4 color rotating station? without factoring the screen making process

  • Can you print in 2 or 3 colors?

  • I can print any color except white and fluorescent.

  • I mean 2 or 3 colors on one t-shirt.

  • BLINK♥

    Hahaha that's awesome!

  • Direct to garment digital printing is pretty cool. Nice video! Check out my videos for tutorials on screen printing and heat transferring tee shirts. Questions welcome.

  • any one want hot dogs

  • awsome song yea blink182

  • blink 182 FTW.

  • can you please tell me how to print something backward

  • wouldn't you just reverse the image?

  • where can i do all this

  • can u use an HP Officejet Series printer??

  • Why not, it's worth a try.

  • i hate to say it but this jayme guy is a closet fag no doubt, god bless =]

  • Did you guys use to date?

  • cool i have that machine at my school we are going to make a shirt this week

  • Hi im looking for a quality press/printer that will make the print stay on for years of wash..!

    any advice?

  • The emo music is makin me all emotional.

  • ok ill just walk into my multi millionair tshirt factory and follow your advise

  • this shit takes forever... get a manual press.. id bang out about 10 shirts in the time if took you to make the one in this video

  • how much r thoses?

  • an over size printer

  • It does

  • does this printer work for a multicoloured design?

  • Takes all the fun out of it, plus the personalized artistic touch.

  • blink is sex-tastic!

  • fuck blink 182, they were good like 6 years ago. go look up deflorate and get your face torn off

  • hay man dnt diss blink182 there drummer travis baker is one of the worlds best drummers

  • alright, i might not be able to diss them because they do have some pretty good songs. all im saying is that they were huge back in the day ( if you can consider 2002-2004 back min the day. ) and that im into deathcore and death metal now. thats all.

  • Blink in the background. Ah yea!

  • Pretty sick pretty sick!

I know digital printers are a lot easier then presses.

But are there any cons to them at all?

And same with the heat press, is there any cons to that then the convertor dryer?

  • how much is it for ?

  • around 28 thousand with everything.

  • I bought mine online. Look up direct to garment printers.

  • where can i get a machine like this?

  • well thats very usefull.. aside from the fact that no one owns one of those printers...

  • haha. yah i know

  • wow.. digi printers seem like it would take FOREVER to finish a 100 shirt order.. i got a 6 color one station press.. get the job done.. but man i still would love one of these for my own benifet

  • Ya it's just a good tool to have.

  • I don't recommend staring out with a 25k printer. You should have someone print your stuff or try heat transfers. Once you've established your customer base maybe then you should look into a printer.

    Good luck!

  • 25k??dang!!! where do you get your shirts from???and is that the only way to make shirts?i was thinking about making my design and printing it on some iron on paper and use that heat stemper thingy you used?is my idea good quality?or should i get that digital ink thingy??pleaze reply i need to know, we have really good ideas.
