I don't think I have ever seen a painting with so much emotion. You can just tell everything from this girl and my head just started flowing. I don't know if it was the music, just your sheer artistic talent, or both, but it is truly incredible. Keep doing what you're doing!

Great technique, I love the colors, but specially the way you grayed the shadow in the arm! it looks like ceruleum blue, some umbers and grayed with a beautiful red. Love it!!!!

Rich, excellent work. I liked your value underpainting and was surprised you addressed the background before the figure. But your laying in of the values (transparent red oxide??) let you do that. Again, excellent, and I also liked your guitar work. Bill

Thanks Bill! That's burnt sienna, and I can't paint out of the center. Many do really well though.

Amazing work! I'm having trouble with oil a bit since i focused too much on acrylic. Is it true that oil naturally enhances portraitures than acrylic? If so I was meaning to focus a bit more on oil. Oil dries so slowly, and the technique therefore might be a bit different. More smudging than applying layers. Or more like...apply the undertones first then keep working on it as you progress, that's how it is with oil i'm guessing right?

id like to see a time lapse film of pretty picture in different ways,trys and genres and stages of development of paintings then at the end is a photograph of the real person its revealed that "its real" a real person. this is my ideal.!

Wow-this is unbelievable! I am amazed at the talent level here! The colors are so gorgeous-and notice how he suddenly changes all the colors in the lower portion of the painting, making them deeper, richer. The way he handles the sunlight on the figure, especially the hair, is fantastic. Very educational and pleasurable to watch, and listen to.
