I also watched this at the age of 6 and had just watched Beatle Juice the Tim Burton movie and I thought the special fx sucked in this film it looks like an Ed Wood. As a kid I had a wild mind and would always think of what would have been cooler the fact that they show Hell is stupid, its what you dont see thats scary dont they know anything.

7:01 Wtf? I saw this in a church when I was like 7 or 8. That guy's head in the helmet with the blood and spinal chord was burned in my head for years. He went to Hell afterwards. That and the preacher saying "You're going to Hell." about a million times. These movies did nothing but leave me an emotional wreck. I spent most of my childhood in fear of going to Hell.

Same for me-back then these were premier special effects (I know it is hard to believe) and I was terrified. There was one before this "If footman tire you, what will horses do?". It is produced by the same guy and again, every time I seen a soldier i was freaking out. This is NOT the way to introduce people to Christianity-I am resentful 30 + years later that the church I attended allowed this to be shown-reckless tactics!!!

Its the Bible that makes the claim hell exists. Its the only proof God gives because he knows that satisfying your doubt will not be enough to convert your pride. People go to hell because they despise the holy spirit of God which the world hates. The Hell of the dead is simply a place full of God haters but with out the mercy of God to replenish them as when they were living. The one they reject is the one that gives them life.

Because of peoples pride( their subjective opinions of what should be) God's proofs will never be enough. Especially an all knowing God that already knows you will despise everything about him once you realize who and what he is. Read the Bible, it says his things are hidden from the proud. In the lower realms of hell time is not as it is on earth. Physics are also different so the torment that is possible is subject to the whims of the lesser gods( fallen angels) who dwell there. If pride, lust , idolatry etc ruled your life you will go with your gods in hell. You are at their mercy of which they have none. Kind of like going to jail for life. As I mentioned before, hell can already be experienced on earth Regardless of how fair you think it is. We are nothing.

It is interesting to note that in Hebrew God has appeared to the righteous as a flame that does not burn. Hebrew is written like the letters etched by flame. God's fire does not burn only to those who are marked and filled with sin will experience the burning of God's judgement. So in that sense Hell is not a place but a state of spiritual judgement under the presence of God himself. If we are taken into God's presence we either Burn or Experience the greatest Joy of all time.

With all the gore this has the feel of a cheap snuff film. He didn't need to decapitate someone (it's barely plausible that your head is going to come off because you hit a tree). This stuff comes from the mind of someone who enjoys it. I feel as though Pirkle revels in the idea of non-believers dying a brutal death and going to hell. I wonder if this fella was tight with Jim Jones, he seems just as messed up in the head. This is all very un-Christian in my opinion.

See my comments on Part 1. This particular episode reveals that Estus, despite his apparent genuine concern for people, drank deeply of the "preacher as hero" mentality. He not only narrates the movie, but stars in the drama of salvation history and makes it very clear that he knows everything about God and the Bible while anyone who disagrees with him disagrees with God. Plus, as a person who also knows Greek, I don't know what that has to do with anything in this movie.
