  • Dear Paul: At the end you seems to be disappointed about the performance (I'm right ???) but there's no raison for because I've respectfull listen the tremolo's you played . Very well done. When I hear that I hear Requerdos d'Alhambra throughout your piece.I hope you will understand my bad english.Have a nice weekend and thanks for sharing.Theo

  • Hello Theo,

Great observation, I wasn't actually disappointed, but the piece was very challenging, this was about the 8th take, by the end I was kind of relieved to have got it almost right, and somewhat off balance - I nearly feel off my chair ;-)

    Thanks my friend

  • Thanks J, I appreciate you stopping by.

    Paul

  • Very nice on the tremolo technique.

What I notice the most about your work, Paul, is that you never let the technique overshadow the piece. It's complementary rather and that always gives a sense of legitimacy to each of your works.

    Well done my friend.

  • Hello Ed,

What a complimentary chap you are, thank you very much, I'm glad you think such a thing. The use of tremolo is often thought of as 'gimmicky', though I love the sound it produces.

Thank you again, you are such a good friend.

    Paul

  • Just realised Ed, February is the high of summer in Australia, so snow really isn't something you'll ever experience at this time of the year - weird eh?

  • Well Paul, if you must know, though I've been to Australia, I'm actually a Yank from across the pond. I've seen my share of snow in February-and some in March even.

  • Sorry Ed, I was sure the last time I looked you were in Australia - silly me

  • Most of the time I'd rather be in Australia. They've got some fine beverages over there and I might just be tempted to try a few of them.

  • Rich, indeed, I could see the snow!

  • Hey thanks Bill,

    Paul

  • I'm usually critical when it comes to the tremolo technique but surprisingly I'm impressed by yours. Good work! What guitar you using there?

  • Hey Bullerias,

Actually my tremolo technique isn't where I want it to be, I been working on this piece quite a lot recently as this piece is a little demanding, I can actually do it better now.

Thanks my friend, my guitar is a cheap Cuenca - it cost me £120

    Paul

  • very nice and smmoth love the fingerpicking

    Thanks.

    Paul

  • tell me you want to do studio, this one is by far my favorite...

  • Hello Peter,

I'm not sure what you meant there; if you are asking if I'd like to record these pieces in a studio then the answer if yes, but lack of funds is getting in the way.

    Thanks for your comment.

    Paul

  • great tune, very emotive, well played - it looks very difficult

  • Thank you key2k, it is difficult, but the chords that I want just turned out that way.

BTW, unusual name 'key2kindom', is there an interesting thought behind it, or was it just something to call yourself.

Thanks again, and best wishes to you.

    Paul

  • no special reason for k2k, it simply was the 1st thing that came to mind, after finding that all the names I'd have wanted had been taken :)

  • Amazing as always Paul! Very smooth and perfectly emotional.

I'm very excited for the next one by the way, my personal favorite so far(March) is next! Yaaaay! :)

    -DRVMUSIC from Delcamp

  • Hello DRV,

I'm getting used to who you are now.

Thanks for the encouraging comment, and if you are looking forward to March that's great - I've just uploaded it.

  • Thanks for the 5/5 Jesse, and the subscription.

    Paul

  • oh you did it again, Paul. You suprised me quite a bit there composing with such dreamy tremolo and be able to play it beauifully.

  • Thank Florida,

I think I need to improve my playing quite a bit more before I can really do justice to this piece, I always write slightly beyond my technical abilities, but then I want to be known for writing more than for playing.

    Glad you like it.

    Paul

  • beautiful.

    1:08-1:28 so dope.

  • Thank you,

I don't understand the 'so dope' part though.

    Paul

  • lol 'extra extra awesome'

  • Right, thanks again for that, I was worried that dope was something bad! ;-)

  • WOW! another fine contribution, thanks paul

  • Thank you Narcissus, one of the following pieces has your name as part of the title.
