  • DEAL IN NETWORK CBALES

  • my ass . this guys is so fucking noob

  • i saw this at colege today i tried but messed up the last one

  • I tried the order in this video and it DID NOT work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The correct color code is from left to right is Orange-white orange-blue-white blue-green-white green- brown- white brown

  • @jhlalone123

    Fail

  • @jhlalone123 No, an ethernet cable is orange white, orange, green white, blue, blue white, green, brown white, brown. You must have put them into the RJ-45 incorrectly.

  • where's the cable tester i mean what if it doesnt work

  • he's doing the TIA/568 B but you can also do A

  • Thank you so much for the explanation

  • Wow ..."Randy" did a correct patch cord for the USA but his explanation was wrong. The Or/OW and Gr/GrW are what is used in the USA for TX and RX signals. That would be pins 1&2, 3&6. Pins 4&5 (the blue pair) are for telephone. I like the sleeve, never used one. Note: make sure the sleeve is pushed into the head as well. That is for strain relief.

  • what is the tool name?

  • good job......but most kits don't come with that extra sleeve. in fact ive never seen any kits come with them lol.

  • that helped so much!

  • that is so easy i make me own ethernet cable all the time

  • Um, the pairs are supposed to be pins 12, 36, 45 and 78. You did 12, 34, 56, 78. That's not a correct Ethernet cable.

  • Actually, there are different competing standards depending on what country you are in. Here in Australia we use a very different set of colour pairs, which typically improves signal transmission

  • does that really matter ? .... as long as u have the same on both sides of the cable ?....my ethernet cable is totally different and has been running for about a year ...would that make a difference ... as all of them are made of copper ?

  • I don't have a problem with terminating but does anyone know anything about running cable in a drop ceiling, where do you run/tie up the cables so there not running across the tiles? cant find no videos on it..

  • i can make those in my sleep.

I like that crimper tho, smokes my paladin tools crimper.

  • i believe cat 6 is for a crossover...cat 5 is for ethernet

  • it doesn't matter

  • Sorry, but, there both the same.

Cat 5 and Cat 6 are crossover and "ethernet" but the correct term for ethernet is "Patch"

so Either cable can be used for both..Crossover means 2 pc's can connect together, and Patch means Pc to hub and hub to pc, if you use a patch cable for connecting 2 pc's together the network ports will blow and wont work anymore, thats why you use a crossover cable for it.

    Hope you found that useful.

  • when you use all for pairs for gigabit don't you need them to be separatly shielded at the cable?

  • CAT 7 ^_^

  • Randy,

Dude, you know that you don't need the brown or blue pair for data! Oh what level of mis-information.

You need pins: 1/2/3/6 for 10/100 data. Gigabit Ethernet requires all 4 pairs.

You have some ancient Ethernet device requires a cross over cable? Wire one end 568B (as shown in the video) and wire the other end 568A.

    568A is W/G-G , W/Orange , Bl-W/Bl , Orange , W/Br-Br.

And you really don't need that silly plastic conductor alignment shim.

  • Blue and brown are out of the "equation"

    Pin 1 for white orange

    Pin 2 for Orange

    Pin 3 for white green

    Pin 6 for green

Hey, Randy go back to school!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And well,

    Pin 4 for blue

    Pin 5 for white blue

    Pin 7 for white brown

    Pin 8 for brown

  • And if you want it really bad, you can have two computers connected with just one cable.

    What about that???????????????

Just use blue and brown and connect another rj45 at both ends of the cable like this:

    Pin 1 white blue

    Pin 2 blue

    Pin 3 white brown

    Pin 6 brown

and just leave pins 4, 5, 7 and 8 empty.

  • Also another big benefit: if you need to thread a cable through a wall or something, if you make your own cable, you only need to drill about a 6mm hole, compared to the 12 or 14 you'd need to fit a whole plug through

  • Randy is wrong!!! Orange and Green are main pairs...not Orange and Blue

  • There's two schemes out there: TIA 568-A and 568-B. B uses what they show. A is a little more common in the Western US and TIA 568B is widely used in newer installs.

  • i wonder if we will ever see his face?

  • Go randy Go :)

  • RANDY!!!

  • heh just get a wireless ethernet

  • wireless sucks, wired much faster
