I picked up the classical guitar at 28 and have been playing for a year now, about 2 hrs a day, sometimes a lot less. Have a full time job as well. As long as you commit to the instrument you will grow faster than you could ever imagine. Don't keep assessing where you're at....just play and watch yourself grow. You can't rush it anyways...it's a natural growth. The point is not to get to a certain level, but to have the instrument in your life. And you WILL get really good.
If I pick up classical guitar now, quit my job (although I don't really have one) and practice all waking hours, will I ever be able to play like Daekun (before my aging body fails me)? I am in my mid-40's. If the answer is yes, I will do it.
@djseo1 First you work to live, second you have a hobby to enjoy life. Things loose there enjoyment when there is no food on the table, and you can't pay your electric bill. Besides the question is never how good you get, it's how much you enjoy what you do gain.
Superbe interpretations! Bravo! I am really impressed by your left hand, so relaxed while playing, it means hours and hours of practice. You really deserve the best comments!
Enjoyed very much. Tarrega would indeed smile I believe! Facial expressions don't mean a hell of lot when you are using the heart to listen. Need to re-filter the audio for the post and get rid of the annoying overtone of the recording microphone.
Recently got to know this intepretator got around twenty contest awards in Europe and Mehico, 3 winning and arwarded in competitions of Taregga in Mardrid and Sor in Italy. Surely awarded some funds, man ^^.
Very instrument is voice. This guy know how to sing without voice. See how he treat his Gtr. Gtr has small sound, player doesn't much lean on volume changes and make sound as loud as possible. This this guy make us pay bill to all in our ears to the hall of guitar. He doesn't care whether the adience at the end row might fail to chatch to Matrix Bullet-Air
wow amazing dude. you inspired me to learn the mazurca en sol out of the grade 8 conservatory books. its also good great post cuz it's great referance material to learn the song

The guitar appears to be 'Brahman' - from Korean Luthier Woongsoo Gwak. Is that right?

That was excellent, sensual and full of expression. Dance- like. Excellent tone and dynamics.

Thank you for playing this with so much feeling.
Thank you for taking the time to learn how
to project these qualities out to us.
Thank you for not relying on technique and tone
alone. Most players do this and it doesn't work.
You added the rubato, phrase flexibilty and
the meanings came across so clearly.
