  • I'm agree with the guy below me!!! species million years ago face worst condition than the ones we will face.

My point is, species will find out how to survive as they did million of years ago. but off course we can help by trying to screw things up less. :D

  • reasons for coral death so far ive found are:

temperature, nutrient defficencies, inadequate lighting, inadequate water movement, inadequate water parametres, any more that can be added to this list? i want to get to the bottom of this coral bleeching. surley it couldent be nitrate deficiencies from over fishing? have global sea temperatures actually risen? or is this a farse... been watching some vids about the climate change debate, against raises in temperature.

  • i do agree wth u guys struggle for saving the coral concerning global warming.

but..."STOP CLIMATE CHANGE"..?? c'mon..u guys need 2 think again th sentence. u will cannot stop the climate change, it is the God's business!! if u dont believe in God, still that the accumulation of anthropogenic behaviors has made climate change!!

so, WE CAN NOT STOP CLIMATE CHANGE!! we only have attemp to play a role how we can more tolerate with climate change. thats the only point that all of us have to do!

  • Oh and bleached corals will not take years to heal it's months.Look over here.People who have taken care of mini reefs will have faced that when given good lighting and food which is zooplankton, corals will have a chance of recovery.Anyway our tanks have lesser plankton than the sea.Just give the corals chance without overfishing and stuffs.Fish poo helps in zooxanthellae growth and producing more phytoplankton which will lead to more zoo plankton

  • Some more to add.

    Chain reactions in a reef:Overfishing/bomb fishing(famous in phil)/cyanide fishing=leseer fishes=lesser fish poo=lesser phytoplankton=lesser zooplankton=Deaths of bleached corals

    Or:Coastal development=sediments=less light passing through=Corals can't have light to photosynthesize=Death of corals

  • Like people against religion cause they believe in science.Sometimes scientists also gave out wrong infos. We must face it ourself in order to believe. That is what people do if they don't believe it.

  • Forgot to add too.Did you know your good cholesterol meal Giant clams are zooxanthellate? They don't bleached like what corals are cause their zooxanthellae can survive in variable temperatures.Go dive into marine reef keeping world to understand more about the reefs. You can't rely on what people say usually.

  • no one can stop global warming. our world is messed up due to people who just don't give a flying f---!." unfortunately"

    just love the you're with!

  • if anyone cares to look even remotely into the subject, one would learn that the oceans (insanely vast amounts of water) are a Lagging indicator, meaning the are several hundred years behind "global" temprature.

  • Oh dear, it is true that was some shakey science right there. Those coral species will not die, their dependents will. The temprature change just means that type of coral can no longer produce its outer structure. The species continues as soft bodied colony organisms. Another type of coral of which there a variety will become dominant that is better adapted to current conditions, this has happened before as global temprature change has occured in the prehistoric past. And some do find new alge

  • I have to agree with that.Don't you guys realised that corals have evolved from the ice age to the melting of ice and throuigh more than we humans ever faced.Let's face it.Give the corals time without disturbing and changing the global temperatures drastically they will survive.Cause the global temperatures changed 2-3 deg celcius per 10 years.Without overfishing we may be able to save the corals.Fish poo helps them grow little by little.

  • Hey friends,

bang some local babes near you!.. i-fling * com (remove the * replace with . )

  • I just returned for St. John VI (Sept 2007) where the coral bleaching along with disease has killed 50% of the coral heads. Believe what you want about global warming but in the past 3 years the coral has been bleached and is dying all over the world including Australia where I dove in 2001. Next step is a reduction to fisheries.

  • theres no such thing as global warming its natural climate change.

  • Actually there are no global warming. The corals will survive cause new zooxanthellae will coat them so that they will adapt to changes. Those bleached corals will survive.

  • care to cite your source on this?

  • now if you stared reading this dont stop its really scarey!ok send this to five other videos in 143 minutes. When you are done press F6 and your crushes name will apear on the screen in big letters this is weird because it does work.If you break this chance you wont have a crush in the next five years

  • Para los hispanohablantes: no boten basura en la calle y no gasten el agua en vano, con eso como inicio podremos hacer el milagro de darle un chance a nuestro mundo.
