My son was in a 4 day coma after he fell from roof-words ringing in my ear was doctor saying if he had another fall he could die-The worst phone call for a mother to get is when an ambulance driver say s"we have ur son and on our way 2 hospital" When I got 2 hospital, he still hadnt awoken I sat by him and my thoughts were"if hes in pain take him now" he woke up a bike accident, his helmet was his saving grace. Reality strikes when u least expect it...Loss of life no laughing matter nor B.T.I

I never used to wear a helmet because I thought they were kind of dumb, which made me dumb for thinking that. I learned my lesson when I got hit by a speeding driver. I was in a coma. Now I have a brain injury.

Sorry but not paying attention is NOT a reason to wear a helmet. Had he been more aware of what he was doing, he would not have hit the lumber.

Plus it also seems pretty irresponsible on the part of the pickup to have the lumber sticking out into the road.

The only "bully" I see here are those forcing people to wear helmets.

This is a great video and illustrates one reason to wear a helmet. Besides the risk of being hit by a vehicle, a helmet also protects the head from objects protruding from a vehicle such as the pickup with the long 2 x 4's. Thanks for posting this!
