What makes the term, Black Music, offensive? Politically incorrect? Dont mean to sound naive..but i'd really like to know.I know very few artists/ groups composed of white people who makesoulful funk music, and the few that do..obviously werent memorable enough for me to be able to pull up any names.

If you took a list 30 best tracks of 'r&b' artists from the last 10 yrs and compared it with the 80's there would be no comparison. I hate the way that the word r&b has been bastardized nowadays, I hate using the term but don't really know how else to describe it other than 'black music' which is equally offensive! Maybe, Street soul?
