  • Fails to mention that 2,000 trees will be planted to replace the 850 removed.

  • Sorry to lose those nice trees, that's not right. This kind of thing happens in LA or Miami, NOT Portland.

(great job on the narrating Christina)

  • Incidentally, the governor is John Kitzhaber, a Democrat. Love how Democrats running Oregon care for the environment and listen to the people. Folks should remember this on Election Day.

  • @blogbat Generalizations are pathetic. Are you aware of how much in carbon emissions are expected to be cut by replacing individual car use with this form of transit? Now, fast forward to 25 years from now when the population of the region is expected to double. Do you think all those cars are going to fit on our streets?

Lastly, those trees are planned to be replaced. In fact, more than twice as many will be planted for those cut down.

Please know what you're talking next time.

  • @Shelbytown123 You can cut even more emissions by committing mass genocide on the order of leftist Mao, but that is also not productive.

  • @blogbat Yes, valid point, Blogbat.

  • Unfortunately there is no chance Trimet/Metro is gonna save any trees or any tax payer money.

  • The bridge is Steel. Only 2 es.

  • Agenda 21 in action.
