Wow, what a difference! By any chance, was your surgeon Dr. Larry Wolford? He's a very well-known TMJ surgeon, and we've considered consulting with him for my TMJ/joint replacement surgery (we're currently planning a bilateral total joint replacement of my TMJs after 12 surgeries).

Did your old bite cause any TMJ problems?

no sir. I only wore head gear before the surgery because of my condition.

That's not true, and yes it is quite costly but it's worth it. I was 16 when i had mind, don't sweat it. You won't die either lol.

Very cool! You look AWESOME! I had this surgery before... 4 years ago. It was for my lower jaw. I'm going in again for my upper in 2 days. It kind of relapsed back =/ Anyways, It was pretty much the same for me... not that painful. I'm guessing you had upper and lower?

I had a double jaw surgery my self, to correct my under-bite. The third day was the worst for me. I ended up feeling sick and threw up, this is not fun when your mouth is sealed shut.

Well not sure At the moment, we had a problem with insurance and such but i'm thinking around 120,000 altogether not counting insurance coverage

Nah it's nothing to worry too much about. The top lip being numb is pretty annoying but I'm sure it'll be feeling alot better after it's done so I'm looking forward to that.

same situation man! I got my upper jaw moved forward and my lower jack moved back. Right now, I'm 2 weeks post surgery and you can talk way better than me. My put a mouthpiece as a splint between the teeth and they wired my teeth together for 6 weeks (4 more weeks to go!) Its so hard to talk, you're lucky. I'm playing my games and I'm on teamspeak and stuff and they can't understand me. Good Luck to both of us!
