@stevemartinovich only goofball here is you I'm afraid. They have always been known as "Yaz" in the USA and "Yazoo" in the UK and other parts of the world. Apparently an amercian band was also called Yazoo and threatened to file a lawsuit against them so to solve the issue they officially were known as "Yaz" in the USA. Both Yaz and Yazoo are the correct names for the band.
