@AddiePalePotatos The inner city? Why? 80% of the inner city is rundown and abandon homes and buildings, it's the most dangerous city in the States. I met some friendly people there, but Detroit needs a MAJOR facelift.

I remember that day! Sad that the cameras were at the wrong angle to pic up the rainbows we had during the thunderstorm AND fireworks at the same time.
It was almost as if mother nature, in response to our fireworks, wanted to make it known that she can put a better show than we can.
What an amazing night. I spent 4 hours in the rain on the beach, but for the show mother nature put on before the fireworks, it was worth every second. I wish we had more of this in Vancouver.

See, now that's an accurate depiction of Vancouver, sunny, cloudy, rainy, clear sky, all in the same day. That day was the day of the crazy thundershowers in Vancouver as I recall. Only happens once or twice a year in Vancouver, but where I used to live in Manitoba, happened a lot more often.

I was at this live and it was amazing. from the burning sky to the humid air with record breaking heat to the most violent lighting storm I've ever witnessed, climaxing with the Celebration of Light Fireworks.

vancouverites who claim that Vancouver rains too much are exaggerating. they also bitch way too much. It only rains about 7 days in total in the entire summer. Sure it rains once in a while during the other seasons, but we live in a 4 season area. it's also a reason why b.c is so green, why our air is awesome, and why we don't end up looking like shit hole deserts.

DUDE that day was crazyy I'm from Vancouver and I totally remember being at vfest in the day and it was suuper hot and sunny then I went to the beach for the fireworks with the bright orange sky and CRAZY lightning.. that was like the coolest weather day I think we've ever had

I was at an event at the Maritime Museum, the lightning was CRAZY. Biggest thunderstorm I've ever seen in Vancouver. Fireworks were great too.
