@ifeeldirectionless Neko Case is definitely not "country," at least not in the sense of the popular definition. She is much more of a modern alternative folk artist. She is also a member of The New Pornographers, which is the the farthest from "country" you can get. Liking Neko Case does not equate to liking country.

I never thought I'd like country (as a matter of fact I hated all of it) until I heard this song. I fell in love. As soon as she started to sing, I realized that not all country was bad. Now look at where I am--loving Neko Case, but still no one else--because she is the best country, and also the only true country singer. <3

I WISH this was on a country music station. Mostly on country radio are cliches and corny songs with no substance. This is good music, it's too bad country radio doesn't play stuff like this anymore. I guess it's more folk or western rock.
