I could have found out all this by going to HPs website. I don't want to hear specs I already know. I want to know what it is actually like as a laptop, the screen like, how well games run on it, if you think the inbuilt speakers are good enough to watch a full movie with them. how long the battery actually last (not the estimates) but actually test. only then would I call it a review
so MacBook Pro?! I'm disappointed in HP, they did a good job with the Envy 14's and the last gen. But, this machine is just too similar (as far as the appearance is considered) to the Apple MacBook Pro.
people need to shut the fuck up about Apple, last time I checked Apple has been desperately suing every company out there because they're failing in the smartphone world (read as: Android > iOs).
On a side note: I WOULD NOT recommend the Envy or any HP computer. I've been a HP fan for sometime and my laptops have consistently had issues after <1 yr of use... including my Envy14 Radiance. Beats audio is a genuine gimmick running off a skinned IDT Audio (stock HP Audio software). don't be fooled
Looks Exactly like the MacBook Pro and I thought the Dell XPS 15z looked exactly but this hp envy 15 looks exactly like the MacBook apart from the black lid the 2010 versions of the envy 14 and 17 and in my opinion looked nothing like a MacBook pro which is a good thing the specs on this one are impressive but the chassis design is just a copy cat of a MacBook Pro
@markbunting thanks for the review.. how would you rate the performance of the trackpad? , because purportedly hp put a lot of work into improving its functionality.. also is the screen panel ips or tn?.. finally is the lid/cover aluminum or another material?.. any feedback you can provide would be much appreciated, as im in the market for a new pc, and the envy 15 is currently top on my list.. thanks in advance.. cheers!
@spliffo031 With the 1080 screen, the Envy 15 is IPS, but the Envy 17 is not.. kinda strange but that is how it is! The lid is either magnesium or aluminum, it is not plastic though!
I got a macbook andmy sis has this , im so jelli , sorry apple :(

@LG141602 nope but it does include 'Beats' technology -- meaning it outputs 'Beats' quality audio

I hope this kicks apple to change up their MBP design a little.

@iStaySnazzy55 Just like the Galaxy Tab 10.1 looked like an iPad. Oh no, it's black and rectangular!
