It was Israel that invaded Egypt (with UK and France) in 1956 and at the same time invaded Gaza & other Palestinian territories.
They fired the first shot in 1967, occupied Sinai, West Bank, Jerusalem, etc. - leading to the 1973 Yom kippur War (initiated by Egypt to get back Sinai and Suez).

Except that they don't. Ahmadinejad said, essentially, he hopes the Israeli government goes away in the course of time- at the same time the US and Israel are threatening Iran with invasion- a breach of international law.
The situation is not unlike Ireland and the UK. The UK kept repressing N. Ireland, so the IRA retaliated. When UK finally started honestly using diplomacy, terrorism stopped.

@Ilovewinter Yes, terrorism went both ways- both the IRA and the UK utilized terror, but the problem was the UK government and it was the UK who exerted the most violence and repression. When Britain finally admitted that the IRA and N. Irish have good reasons to be angry, and that Britain would have to make some concessions, violence stopped.
Israel needs to learn the same thing from Britain. Sure, some Palestinians use violence, but the terrorism overwhelmingly comes from Israel.

Many Jewish people are better than that, actually in my experience Jews constitute a disproportionate percentage of the best people around (Noam Chomsky is a personal hero of mine). Unfortunately, perhaps the reason those great men and women have been motivated to rise to their potential is that a large number of their fellows - and yes, the majority in Israel itself based on everything I've seen - are frankly fascists who honestly believe that they're the master race.
