It's always fascinated me how people buy the idea of "Dying for something". I mean what the fuck? Anyways, I love Carlin. He is so blunt and doesn't sugar coat. He's right about the wars not being possible if people would wise up and stop going. Old men rely on young, stupid men to buy the bullshit about patriotism and defending your country to go and die and kill in horrible ways in some stupid country. There is NOTHING IN IT for the people doing the fighting, and morally it's no different than robbing the corner store or shooting your neighbor over an argument. The idea that following fucked up orders is noble is sick and morally weak.

I guess im living in George's world too. I basically watch from a distance, as people get stupider and the global economy crisis grows larger. Goes nicely hand in hand by the way, stupid people and lots of debt. Basically, my daily routine is this: wake up, eat, shit and shower, to work, to home, judo training and then back to home with my wife or i'll go and meent my friends.

@FamineIsAwesome Not really. It's really simple. If enough people were unwilling to fight a war because they believe it's amoral, then there'd be no war, period. You can apply that to the U.S. or any country in the world. (Fear of challenging authority was the only thing keeping germans from disobeying Hitler...if *everyone* didn't listen to him, then there wouldn't have been WWII in Europe.) Whenever you read about war, it's usually misguided patriotism and/or religious beliefs that fuel it.
