did they take into account that teixeira probably out weight kiyama? Because in some kyokushin tournaments they did take notice to fighters weights. The fight was basically a draw otherwise but id still it to kiyama if i had to pick the winner.
No speed, no power??? They're both one of the best kyokushin fighters of the world!!!! This was not their first fight but that was powerfull and fast!!!!
These guys are actually a joke. There is absolutely NO speed or power in any of what they do. It looks like the kind of thing that you would see 6 year olds doing in the play ground. It actually makes me sad.
can tell that your CLEARLY a very wise and thinking person. No, I don't particularly like playing video games. I just believe that all martial arts should be appropriately pressure tested. this stuff really hasn't. Put it against someone with a knife and you die.
your point was there is power or speed in what they do.and the person that comes with the knife will get blasted with the gun. We're not talking about weapons dude.
But in the game of life there often is a weapon present. The man who assumes in his arrogance that he can handle an assailant without taking into acount that he may be armed is seriously risking his life and is clearly stupid.
It's not always the case ewerton teixeira always carries a samurai sword under his gi,kiyama had nothing at the time and won.You have gone from making the point of them having no speed and power dude,to philosophying about risk taking in dangerous situations,if you are not under the age of 18,oh alright i'll make it 20,you get the award for lost cunt of the year.
then think about it... Kyokushin is the trongest karate... no power? then just try to take 1 punch of a yellow belt guy from kyokushin. if you survive to tell the story I'll listen to you, dude
what an arrogant claim. And even if it is the strongest Karate, compare it to any number of martail arts and you will see flaws everywhere. Silat, Kali, Kuntao, Kung Fu, JuJitsu, Aikido, Judo, Tai Chi, Bagua, Ao Denkou Jitsu... the list could go on. I am not saying that these arts are superior, I am merely trying to point out the flaws.
@Naughtiusmaximus222: obviously, if these guys would be facing an Apache Helicopter, they would loose out. Just like any of the guys doing any other martial art. If howevever you really think these guys have no power in one-to-one unarmed combat, which WAS your first point, I have but one thing to say:Sem Schilt, who won K1 again. He trained Kyokushin - DO you think HE lacks speed and power?
Didn't Andy Hug study Kyokushin? It's a great style, i'm a Shotokan man myself, but I have sparred with a Kyokushin man (not a blackbelt) and he had plenty of speed and power.
We have 2nd dan shotokan training with us, this guy is marvellous when it comes to technique and unpredictability in a fight. Don't forget that shotokan and kyokushin are quite closely related!;)

Good clip (always nice to see tiexiera fight), but it would have been better if you had cut away the Japanese commercial in the beginning.
