Thanks for posting this.. especially for the photo essay.. I love this time period in the 60's ..you can really feel the influences of the psychedellic era.. also of other artists of the time.. namely the Beatles and George Martin (Sgt. Peppers) , and people like Jimmy Hendrix and Janis Joplin.. very cool The Rolling Stones stay true to the blues roots and that what makes them timeless.. can't believe they are still going today.. amazing.. also amazing that they are still alive..!

Let it Bleed and Exiles on Main Street are my favorite Stones "albums" of all time....although Their Satanic Majesties Request had some interesting experimental tunes. Before his untimely death, Brian Jones became an extraordinary multi-instrumentalist.

Brian Jones was the founder of The Stones, the leader of The Stones and the genius of The Stones. Most people here too young to remember him. However, the first album I ever bought was Ya Yas and my own lead style as a guitarist leans heavily on the Taylor licks I learned from Sympathy, Live w/Me, Stray Cat & Midnight Rambler.
