Lionel may have been considered the "Best" but Louis Marx made toys for working class families and they did not fall apart like so many other brands. Marx trains just keep running. Wonderful video.
Thanks for the compliment! Recently, I've been able to set up a Marx layout at two train events and the reaction from adults and kids has been fun. People are really mesmerized by the cool looks, sounds and smells of Marx electric tinplate running over tin tracks. Oh yeah, I'd like to sub for Huell Howser!
Been waivering between a small Lionel layout or Marx....Your video helped tip the balance in favor of Marx--Well done narration (you could sub for Huell Howser :-)
Mr. Ken Lua, Thank you so much for your videos, they are simply super. I've started my own videos and they can be seen on you tube. com under "lewscaboose. My videos are also mostly of Marx Trains and a few railfan clips. Hope you get a chance to view them and let me know what you think of them. Thanks for the inspiration to get my trains on film,I thank you for your time. Sincerely Lew Custer Sr. [lewscaboose]
Hi, You inspired me to show my collection of Maex. Nothing to compare with yours but I enjoyed doing this project. Let me know what you think! God Bless Walt
HI, I've been in HO trains for over 50 years and have a fair sized layout. Watching your video inspired me to start running my small Marx and Lionel collections. I got an old Christmass table out and started laying some Gargraves track I got at a Flee market. Hope to have a video on YouTube in a few weeks. You can see some of my HO layout in my Walt's Calss J HO train video if you're intrested. Thanks for an excellant video on Marx trains I hope mine is half as good. Walt in Pennington NJ
Very Nice Video, I really enjoy the old tinplate O scale trains - Marx trains are so durable, and run forever with minimal maintenance. Thanks for posting!
