sounds like "kuan sen" to my italian ears

  • @yalenaxxx That's what it sounds like to me too, now that you say that.

  • @dOMITUPSYK when they pronounce chansen, it sounds more like quansen, so just exhchange the cha for a qua and it might make sense

  • I love the Bleach and Naruto images! O/_\O I ADORE NARUTO! Thanks so much! I mean that!

  • funny, someone complaied on the fast version that it would be good if it wsa slower, so i did and came about this and what? they sound about the same? interesting...

  • I first heard of this song when I was in an anime conference 4 months ago, can anyone please explain me how it end there since it's swedish?

  • @Netpix Internet phenomenon

    Background

Popotan first appeared as a Japanese PC game on December 12, 2002. After the anime was aired from July 17 to October 2, 2003, short GIF animations clips were created from the opening of the game and posted on the internet. It was not long before parts from the introduction of the PC game were captured too. Caramelldansen is also known as the "Uma uma dance" (ウマウマダンス) in Japan.

  • Muahhahahahahaaa!!!Im almost swedish!!!!

  • I don't care what your lyrics say, I'm still hearing 'cat fucking a handbag' 1:02

  • @Anthraxsgaming

Maybe so, but at least ultragacktfan1 is 100% correct. That's more than enough to excuse the behaviour.

by the way i have a quick question: how do u pronounce the letters with the two dots above them?? is it a long vowel sound or something else?

  • @Livin4TheKing316 The umlaut indicates the long vowel sound, yes.

  • @2wingo oh thanks! :D im still working on pronouncing the words right o.o my stupid american tongue doesn't wanna cooperate XD lol

  • @Livin4TheKing316 Ä: ae ö: oe .. ä sounds like a in "man" , ö sounds like ea in "learn".

Or , you can just use google translate , ;) if you dont know any words with "ö" in, write "cute" and translate to swedish.

  • @Livin4TheKing316 i can learn you XD im swedish

  • OMG i wish i could sing this!!!!! i love music in other languages and i try to learn them, but this is the first time ive ever really seen swedish words. O.o must, learn, pronunciation!!! O.O lol i love this song. :D i hope i learn how to sing this soon. :3

  • I like this slow version more than the sped up one so your not the only one lol

  • I wanna comment on how ignorant and stupid people is, if they think this isn't Swedish. But it's been said so many times, so there's no real need for me to do it. So I'm just gonna do this instead. You know, like a meaningless comment.

I'm danish btw, so of course I know it's Swedish.

  • i came here to learn the lyrics.....so i could sing to the speedycake mix =P

  • OMG THE PART WITH GRIMMJOW IS CUTE TOOO AT 2:18 KYAAAAA UR VIDOE IS HECKAAA AWESOME KYAAAA IMA LIKE IT :D

  • i always hear the lirics "Ta nagra steg at vanster" as "you're not a single bastard"!!! XDDDD

  • Cool! I like this! The sped up one is kinda annoying and gets stuck in one's head.

  • yay sweden did a known dance :D

  • Every time I hear this I start dancing :3

  • YAYA NARUTO+BLEACH W00T

  • I like this version better.

  • i like sweedish people. ther alot o fun to hang out with. :-)

  • lol love this song understand it too since I moved to Sweden 5 years ago, yay

okay to the ignorant people on you tube, I can understand you guys not knowing this was Swedish since its a small country but how can you compare it with known languages like:

    English

    French

    Latin

    German

    Russian

Danish - close to Swedish but still shame on you!

Japanese - this is like comparing a dog with water, come on!

  • @ultragacktfan1 Haiii im danish and at school we learn swedish a bit so i knew it was swedish :) <3 this more than the speeded up one, its more relaxing but i dont understand how people mistake it for Japanese though xD

  • @LastGameFreak Yeah, Japanese and Swedish sound nothing alike... have you ever heard Promise by Hirose Kohmi? Someone asked on a video of it if it was Mexican or Japanese... sad world we live in :(

  • @ultragacktfan1 Det er lidt meget at forvente at de kan kende forskel på dansk og svensk. Det er lidt som irsk og amerikansk.

  • @ultragacktfan1 you have a good point, but most people have only heard the sped-up version, so the lyrics go by faster making it a litte harder to understand, plus the song is usually associated with anime characters doing that little dance to this song. anime = people think its japanese. listening to this version, its obvious it isnt japanese (unless you're a dumbass). in conclusion, dont put dancing anime characters to songs in diff languages and send that video to everyone.

    :D

  • @RyanMellott The sped up version is a meme. So...yeah, I'll just give you a quote from wiki, 1 sec...

The meme started as a fifteen frame Flash animation loop showing Mai and Mii, characters of the Japanese visual novel Popotan doing a hip swing dance with their hands over their heads to imitate rabbit ears.

  • @RyanMellott i let you know that Japan is not the only place that makes anime. Yes it originated there, but other countries have made their own versions of 'anime.' America has it's own anime...ever heard of Cartoon Network? Cartoons are the American versions of anime. Just to name one Avatar the last airbender it's american. just like all the other cartoons we watch. No hard feelings intended. offense taken to those who don't get it.

  • @ultragacktfan1

I agree with you but "this is like comparing a dog with water" has to be the most creative analogy I've ever heard.

  • Прощай мозг(

  • @ultragacktfan1 I kenw it wasnt japanese the moment I heard this song! I mean the only reason I wasnt sure it wasnt japanese is the fact that everybody everywhere says its japanese!

  • @ultragacktfan1 You forgot the top 2 languages Mandarin and Spanish. Also Swedish isn't even in the top 80 languages spoken.

  • @Pachico760

    That's way too harsh.

  • notice that much of english is similar to the northern european languages because thats where it originated from

  • The Spartans are having a dance party at 2:50. This is actually how they bet the Persians. If you saw 300 hairy dudes wearing helmets, capes, and leather underware doing that dance wouldn't you run away.

  • Hard to understand, but possible as danish guy :3

  • Comment removed

  • I coulcn't tell if it was English or not, but I figured if it wasn't, it would be Japanese, because it has that kind of beat. Most Americans don't come across many Sweidish pop songs anyway. The anime doesn't help, either. It's all really misleading.

  • now i feel like a nerd for knowing it was Swedish in the first place.....

  • @luv2cosplay

I don't, but that may have to do with understanding the entire text, due to being swedish XD

  • @RWBn00b

    LUCKYY!

  • trust me....

i heard every language sept chinese

and eventually it settled on somethin european

but i couldn't figure it out till i saw someone said it was swedish

  • what is this Japanese or what?

  • @boredeverday dude..... it's in the description. and... does it even sound japanese?

  • I always thought it was a mix of languages ranging from german, swedish and english. Turns out I am a victim of misheard lyrics. :o I also thought there was a little japanese......

  • YYY TTHHHEEEE FFFUUUUCCCKKK DDIIDD IIIIII WWWAAATTTCCCHHH TTTHHHIIISSS!!!!!!!???????

  • stupid photos omg

  • How can people think this is in Japanese... Japanese and Swedish doesn't even sound similar... Clearly if they do think it's in japanese they haven't heard japanese before..

  • @pandafriend21 It's Swedish. My Swedish-Norweigian friend said this is FUCKING SWEDISH. (Expertly-Said Swedish!) :)

@xxXMartynaBbzXxx German=A failure. But Swedish is an ancestor of German language. Japanese= WTF?! FAILURE. I speak japanese, so.. yah. Latin: What the Hell!!! Latin is already dead! (Not widely used)

  • @McMaster1471

LMAO I always wondered how people ever thought this was Japanese

My friends got the sped up version and they were like Whats it say?!?! :D (cause i speak Japanese too)

    Me: I don't Know

    Friends: But you speak Japanese

    Me: So?

    Friends: What's it say?!?!

Me: THIS ISN'T JAPANESE Dx HOW SHOULD I KNOW WHATEVER THIS IS

so my friends went and searched it up and turned it was swedish xD

  • @McMaster1471

"But Swedish is an ancestor of German language"

No, they are both descendants of the older germanic languages.

  • Thats my BOY NARUTO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow, you people didn't know it was Swedish? Wow... I don't know a word of Swedish, but I knew............

  • I think the first two people fighting about english, swedish lyrics was freaking hallarious.

  • WHY THE SPARTNS!

  • I'm a Japanese..... WHAT THE..... Sweden did the CARAMELLDANSSEN?? Shit.

    BTW, I'm in USA.

  • @McMaster1471 wait . can you tell me if this is Japanese or Swedish ? i keep researching, but i still dont know .

  • Well frick yeah, it does sound like japanese when you slow it down so there you have it. its blown up....jk.

  • Ur stupid u don't know the lyrics

  • @squirrel8900 You're the one who don't know the lyrics.

  • It forever, but i can finally sing along word for word. Then the next day this song was stuck in my head i drove my friends crazy cause i kept humming during classes. They want to kill me now....
