as a general rule I never go between 26th and 42nd . it's like a weird twilight zone. especially that area around MSG. i get lost there. best place in NY is walking down 59th by the park, or chilling in Wash. Sq. Park. Grab some dumpling in Chinatown. See a band on Ludlow in the LES. Personally I liked living UWS 72nd and Columbus of all the places
