why do people bother rolling once the anaconda/darce is on when it can be finished without rolling??

when you move your hips towards his body to finish the choke could he defend that by moving his body away in the opposite direction? or would he be stuck like that? looks like you could just keep shifting away when caught in it. or would you eventually black out from the choke in general anyway? thanks lol, sorry bout so many questions hehe

its called a darce choke. Anaconda is when you gator roll them.

@imnotbad9 Close. The darce choke comes when your arm goes in from under their armpit and out next to their ear. The anaconda choke goes the opposite direction (ear to armpit).

The gator roll can actually be done in an anaconda or a d'arce choke.

Hmm I've been training MMA for a while and had some amateur fights but really started to concentrate with BJJ recently. I have a question about the Anaconda choke; are you just blocking off his right carotid artery to choke him out or is something blocking his left as well? It's kind of hard for me to see (but really great video)

You're actually blocking both arteries. Your bicep blocks one and his shoulder blocks the other.

This is not a Brabo choke. This is an Anaconda choke. The Brabo would use the other arm when you're in the same position. Otherwise, nice job.
