you sure? I kept thinking it was from the stones of death, because I heard that there was a scene in stones of death where the doctor is tied up. But I haven't seen either of those serials yet (I'm on Tom Baker's second season now--planet of evil soon). I'll get to brain of morbius soon.
Read this: The Ninth Doctor seemed to get cornered by enemies much more often than the other Doctors. And he seems to be the only Doctor who has been chained and shirtless (concurrently) in an episode ("Dalek"). You'd think one of the writers had a Fetish for Christopher Eccleston or something.
The Third, Fourth and Fifth Doctors were tied up and tortured far more than their modern counterparts. There was only one Third Doctor serial in which he wasn't tortured, strangled, or held in bondage.
Apparantly, according to TV Tropes, the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Doctors are the Doctors who are frequently the most tied up, tortured, and (to put my two cents in) captured/kidnapped a lot. We could talk about this all day.
Funny, I seem to recall that either the Third or Sixth Doctor got tied up shirtless . . . or maybe I'm getting two things mixed up. I know the Third Doctor was shown shirtless, and, again, they all got tied up a lot.
Ahem I would mention that the ninth doctors series was produced by Russel T Davies who did later go on to cast someone he'd previously worked with on casanova as the doctor.
I am not casting aspersions but I think it's fair to say there may be a trend in his works, especcially if you look at torchwood
there are certain songs that just fit with projects your doing.. in this case a vid of a great show.. this song fits because it's talking about moving on and accepting that everything turns and changes but in essance remains the same..
Hey, hehe, you should of put David tennant on the very end and not near the end, as then, it would look better, but you know, you did very well with the vid, very well done ;] x x Jane.C x x
Oh good -- I can be the first to comment. I loved this. Thought it was cool the way you used all ten doctors, and ok, gotta admit, I have a very soft spot for this song. It was one of my late mother's favorites -- so much so we used it at her funeral. Rather cool to see it in relation to the Doctor's continual regenerations...
I'd really like to see a version with more recent stuff from the tenth and eleventh doctor included to this song.

there's a clip of the fourth doctor being tied up, at around 2:37-2:38 ish--what serial is that from?

That would be Brain of Morbius. :-)

That'd be 'Inferno?' Maybe?

yes, but Torchwood was directed towards "adult adiences" if you get the gist of what I'm saying.

Just heard the Byrds cover of Dylan's "I was so much older then..." the other day and thought it might make a good. Doctor Who video too.

That's been suggested to me, actually... though I've also considered using Bob's own version.

The author of this song really caught well the spirit of the verses of Ecclesiastes--'tis almost an hymn.

Wonderful! Fantastic to see the Ten Doctors in one piece with the perfect soundtrack.
They are all great. Special mention to Jon Pertwee. The quintessential Doctor imho. The perfect balance of maturity, wit, intellect and wisdom.
And thanks to Christopher and Billie for breathing life back into this wonderful program.
