how long does it take you to choreograph and practice a routine like that?
Well we don't choreograph a routine this long all at one time...but the total time it took to choreograph this was around 36 hours counting everything back to back. As for practicing this...o man...at least 3 months with practices 6 times a week...and you MIGHT get it decent looking. It depends on the girls, really.
Very creative formations & transitions. Moves are simple, but clean. Girls could do much more difficult moves and I would incoroporate higher kicks. Overall excellent routine and execution.
interesting that you evaluate quality of routines based solely on the type of music used. the evaluation rubric used by competition judges asks them to consider how cleverly the choreography matches the rhythm and mood of the music, as well as synchronization and difficulty of steps. if you feel they're "missing the point" and are frustrated by this, then a more productive course o action than flaming my vids would be to write the WSSJA a letter. i hope you find some peace of mind in this issue.
@elenaseximexi oh really? cause that's really rude of you to say. this routine was sharp and had a lot variety. sure they had mistakes but this routine was long. real music? HAHAHAH. techno is easy to use cause it's fast and 8-counts fit techno well. we don't think it's cool we just think it fits the counts well. BTW when you wanna flame another school's team you best be prepared to be yelled at. have a nice day.
bellevue seems to do low kicks on purpose. but these were done really well, i thought, since it was actually synchronized and everyone kicked at exactly the same height.

this is the worst routine i've ever seen. and i'm not just saying that because i hate you....i'm serious.
at least mercer island uses real music. i hate teams that use techno and think it's really cool. it's not.
