@wypmed also, those cells do not have the MHC class 1 complex/receptor (any healthy cell expresses this complex which is the ID thing that madistrat was talkin about) so this would suggest those cell are cancerous and in turn harmful to the body

@bigboys4321 NK cells are cells that do not recognize cancer specifically, but any cell that is different from yourself. Your healthy cells have proteins on the cell surface that will bind to your NK cells and signal that they belong to you. If a cell gets infected/sick, these self-signals are lost, so NK cells can't bind. This triggers them to kill the other cell. If you take NK cells from another person to inject, all your cells would be foreign and those NK cells will kill your own cells.
@yvoennsche Actually, NK cells try to identify the class 1 MHC (Major Histocompatiblity Complex) molecule that is usually expressed by healthy cells. If this molecule is not found or inactive, the NK cells while try to kill the cell.

@tylerf13ful i hear ya bud, but religion is broader than that. i agree that many religions are stupid, but even so, following the rules of many of the religions out there will lead to good rather than hijackers.. many rules in the bible for instance are just common sense dnt steal, respect one another etc.. im orthadox christian, but i love science too. i believe that they go hand in hand and are more closely linked than we imagine. anyway, biology exam tuesday, gotta study :P later

@FurkanKhan100 I suspect they were simply showing release of perforin on cells in the vicinity to better visualize the killing effect on damaged / abnormal cells on a grander scale than one cell at a time.
NKC's attack by detecting change in the MHC cell markers, so they do not innately attack red blood cells unless having detected a change in said marker.

At the end you saw the NK cell killing blood cells right? Well those blood cells are actually cancerous/unhealthy for your body cuz if u listen carefully you'll hear the narrator saying that these blood cells don't express the MHC 1 receptor.

Lol the virus (green alien) in this vid is called a phage or bacteriophage and only infects bacteria, no animal (or human) cells. Why do they make this mistake? Animal-virusses are more like a balloon filled with shit (ss/ds DNA/RNA, enzymes, etc).
And the "programmed cell death or apoptosis" doesn't look like in the vid. The cell doesn't fall apart but splices itself in little pieces like the man is saying.

@ace666999 no t cells are part of the adaptive immune system and will only react with specific mhc class 2 complexes where as natural killer,as stated in the video, are non specific and will kill anything with either a bad or no mhc class 1 complexes (if i remember correctly). please feel free to correct me if im wrong. hope that helped

@bigboys4321 NK cells are cells that do not recognize cancer specifically, but any cell that is different from yourself. Your healthy cells have proteins on the cell surface that will bind to your NK cells and signal that they belong to you. If a cell gets infected/sick, these self-signals are lost, so NK cells can't bind. This triggers them to kill the other cell. If you take NK cells from another person to inject, all your cells would be foreign and those NK cells will kill your own cells.

@yvoennsche Actually, NK cells try to identify the class 1 MHC (Major Histocompatiblity Complex) molecule that is usually expressed by healthy cells. If this molecule is not found or inactive, the NK cells while try to kill the cell.

OR the DNA that creates these components can be placed into a virus and make it attack only virus cells in the host body. kk all of this is theoretical and probably VERY inefficient.

@verbw002 but the thing is that Allah, that the time of the creation of the Koran, was a warrior, a leader, and a regilous figure. So undoubtely these roles were incompatible to one another, namely being religious and a warrior. Since the life of a warrior is very violent, that must have affected how he wrote the Koran. Of course it must have mildly affected his writing but this could have been radically misunderstood by translators, and etc.
