  • ahh i still have my dads g.i joe hq its a diffrent 1 i think for 70's or 80's but the figures are broke

  • What an awesome HQ

  • LOL is Cobra attacking with a bulldozer?

  • They have this at Mr. Zero's in Saint Paul, MN. I was wondering what it was because the box was so huge.

  • 0:15 RATTATTAT! :D

  • I liked the cobra hammerhead.and the battle wagon

  • mine was street fighter edition

  • If I were a kid I wouldn't have wanted that base, unless I jest wanted Cobra to win every time.

  • What's part 2?

  • Cobra won. YAY!

  • I believe the expression is "Put Up Your Dukes!"

  • ah i think im the only teen who knows who g.i. joe is no other freind of mine nows them i still collect them and have battles right now im trying to collect the 80s dreanoks, my favorite i think its sad that you have to go to e-bay or comic book stores to get the 80s action figures. I am proud to know what the old classic g.i. joes were

  • Toys ads were awesome back then. I totally got this for Christmas I couldn't live without it after I saw that hehe.

  • @Bla31n Yeah, that Cobra Commander argument was lame & insulting. Just a Hollywierd excuse to screw with something that needed to be left alone.

  • i do remember this specific commercial.... eating cereals and waiting for bugs bunny to get back on the screen..

  • i had this what a blast .. i dont know where it is now :(

  • when i was six... THIS was sex.

  • 0:24 OUCH OUCH OUCH!!

  • RAT-TAT-TAT

  • How many HQs did they have? I remember there was one in the 2nd year of GI Joe, the USS Flagg, this one, and the Mobile Command Center. Where there anymore?

  • die cobra !

  • I did not like the new HQ for G.I.*JOE it was stupid the 90's was bad for G.I.*JOE the new cartoon show was bad dic made it real bad and the toys was real bad no YO*JOE : (

  • i liked the 90s version better

  • does anyone agree that the destro costume look like micheal myers?

  • DESTRO!!!

  • é um Max Steel menos escroto

  • is this bigger than the terrordrome?

  • No. Its not as big as the terrordrome. it's not as bulky but it has a nice little fort appeal.

It was also repainted for the capcom street fighter gijoe base.

  • See these are toys... not the crap they sell today...

  • You must not have seen the R.H.I.N.O then.

  • this cant be a real G.I.JOE ad joe didne win and all the ads ive seen have the joes win.

  • It is. Their last add campaign actually linked all the commercials together to function like a very short story.

  • That commercial is better entertainment that the movie will ever be.

  • bunnys doodoo cocopuffs beootch

  • FOR 2 YEARS I have been looking for the old G.I. Joe Super Soldier Commercial where he's beating the shit out of a bunch of Live Action, Costumed IRON GRENADIERS. WHERE IS IT?! DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW WHAT I SPEAK OF?!...

    help me

  • just put in "gijoe super trooper" in the search it will come up

  • Sweet vid. I just had 2 terrordromes as a kid though. I used one for Joes and Cobra bases. I've been collectin all those 25th ann. figures. Got em all so far. That new Zartan is bitchin, but I only keep em sealed. I might actually buy one of those to open though if I ever find another.

  • i had that now i have parts of it lol lots of fun

  • its wierd watchin this commercial cause i ddnt hink it was tht long ago tht i got th base fr xmas an now i watch this an its lik WOW

  • by it now or g i joe will be killed!

    :D

  • In the begging with the small figures, not the 12 inch joes, the color schemes were really good. Semi believable like real world military. After a while in the early 90's the color schemes were bad with neons and clashing colors. That irritated me even as a kid, thinking "my god this neon green cannon with blaze orange roll bar would be easy to see in the woods". I always preferred the earlier "realistically advanced " joe weapons and vehicles.

  • Glad to see I wasn't the only picky kid who thought neon wasn't a good color for military operations. The "neon" era heralded the end of my collecting til now with some of the 25th anniversary stuff. :)

  • damn right

  • You can buy the new 3 3/4" GIJOE figures at gijoeclub (dot) com.

  • Funny , because it's was either that OR EBAY, however you're talking 'bout the new school ones.

  • I'm talking about the new 25th stye figures but we also offer figures made from o-ring construction figures.

  • Cool.

  • wich ones are better, the tall ones or small ones

  • Here A point : the Sigma 6 toys we're a'ight but too tall , how ever 3 3/4 Joes are a lot better, so you be the judge , my answer is the 3 3/4 joes.

  • kk thx

  • So what yo' opinion : sigma 6 ( 8 inch ) or 3 3/4 inch ARAH Joes ? & welcome.

  • 3 3/4 inch ARAH Joes,but where could i buy them?

  • The 25th style ( 3 3/4 joes ) is out at any store , but old school joes : EBAY .

  • k thx,ill get the old school ;)

  • Cool move , but they'll be expensive on EBAY , however the 25th anniversary joes are updated and alot cooler too, but you want old school joes good luck, & you welcome

  • yeah thx ill prob get the 25th anniverserys

  • Good choice.

  • dang we talked alot on here XD,and thx

  • True.

  • The worst part about this forme as a child was that I saw Destro choking the life out of Duke but never saw the follow-up. I'd like to have seen Quick-Kick or Snake-Eyes karate chop the s*&t out of destro and restore "Joe's" good name lol.

  • COSPLAY!!!!lol

  • i like gi joe and all but cobra was using a bulldozer with missles

  • I had that base and also does anybody else find it a bit strange that in a kids commercial evil prevails here?

  • not really... Cobra was usually in control at the end of the commercial, the point was that you were supposed to take over from that point and finish the story when you got the toys.

  • This was when the GIJoe toys really became gay.

  • Agreed. They started out great and after about 4 years they began to get way too goofy, odd and pretty much useless. Not to mention that they threw in a lot of odd ball, crappy figures that really had no place in a military line of toys. But that seemed to be the ultimate down fall of the entire line. That and it was pretty much all out of steam by them. The magic of yesterday was long gone and there was really no reason for any of it to continue.

  • Besides the weird color schemes, the firearms the Joes and Cobra wield also became more outlandish. I guess Hasbro didn't want the guns to resemble real world weapons.

  • I really don't remember but recall this commerical very vague and faintly when I was three when I used to watch Tiny Toon Adventures, Alvein and the Chipmunks, and Bobby's world on Fox Kids saturday mornings.

  • i swear the kid resembles fred savage...

  • Interesting that Destro has his original voice and the original theme music was used despite this being made during the DiC years.

  • also the BGM is the original theme and not that "GOT TO GET TOUGH! YO JOE!"

  • I had this playset in 2002.

  • Interesting how much they changed from this prototype to the actual toy. Note the drastically different breakaway wall, for starters.

  • yeah... I think the one shown here is cooler then the orange square... but maybe it was too flimsy?
