By definition (in my jurisdiction, at least) EVERY Master Mason is a member of Grand Lodge, and can run for a Grand Lodge office if he wants to. Every office, including that of Grand Master is held for one year. I know two Past Grand Masters, and a very dear friend in my own Lodge is a Past Deputy Grand Master, many years retred but a former book-keeper for a local firm. Lovely man, but hardly one of the power elite!

By definition (in my jurisdiction, at least) EVERY Master Mason is a member of Grand Lodge, and can run for a Grand Lodge office if he wants to. Every office, including that of Grand Master is held for one year. I know two Past Grand Masters, and a very dear friend in my own Lodge is a Past Deputy Grand Master, many years retred but a former book-keeper for a local firm. Lovely man, but hardly one of the power elite!

well actually there are differences in here. freemasonry is absolutely real but there are two sides to this. the masons who are good (those charitable and generous masons) and the ones who use it for other than good. illuminati society works under the cover of masonry because it is a secret society within a secret society so probably the majority of members of freemasonry does not even know there is something brewing under them than what they normally see.
