And anyone who is going to use a gun for hunting or shooting targets without an outstanding charge about violence with guns can purchase a high caliber. If we limit gun purchases to the people who will be safe with them then that should be fine by anyones standards. And besides, a .22 caliber can kill a human if theyre invading your home, so why does anybody need something like a .50 cal for protection?
I think I am able to speak for every .50 cal rifle owner when I say no such weapon would ever be used for self defense. It's not even practical. The only people that own .50's are collectors and competition shooters. The problem with a .22 is not the killing potential (which every firearm has) but the killing speed. With a .22 pistol you would have to bury quite a few rounds into a suspect to drop him. Where as a .40 pistol is much more damaging and able to stop someone much faster.
I find it slightly humorous that every gun owner was so afraid that big bad Obama was going to take away their gun rights. Nothing such has happened in over 6 months of his presidency. The thing I believe he is going for is he wants to limit sales on high caliber weapons such as .44 because the majority of them end up being used in crimes which a killing takes place. What should happen for everyone who wants a high caliber should be screened to see if they have any info leading them to gun crime

From what was said in the video, I assume that no one really knew what was going on. Why were they so afraid of losing a right guaranteed by the Amandment? Perhaps you should know what the hell you are talking about before you post. The .44 is hardly ever used in crime. Usually it's cheap small caliber weapons used like .25's.
What about "high caliber" hunting rifles which are almost never used in crime? Most are bolt action. Caliber really has nothing to do with it's use in crime. Usually it's very small, cheap easily concealable weapons used, And more over they are usually bought illegally on the street.

Err? Criminals aren't that dumb. They'd just steal them from the police. It's been done before, and it will happen again. Basically it's pointless to ban it. It's easier to regulate it. Like drugs, prostitution, etc. Since you're for the "working man" anyways, you'd support government taxation in the effort of reliable revenue. Regulation is just that. Banning takes money, regulation makes money.

This wouldn't always indicate a corrupt police force, sometimes officers just make mistakes. That and, someone might just break into a unsecured police facility. I'm not here to explain criminal tactics. Weapons can be obtained otherwise (see "internet"). Anyways, yes, I was referring to sending the tax money to things we need. Who said different? This is what I meant. When you create regulations, you create a stable income because there is a need/want for the thing(s) you are regulating.

And anyone who is going to use a gun for hunting or shooting targets without an outstanding charge about violence with guns can purchase a high caliber. If we limit gun purchases to the people who will be safe with them then that should be fine by anyones standards. And besides, a .22 caliber can kill a human if theyre invading your home, so why does anybody need something like a .50 cal for protection?

I think I am able to speak for every .50 cal rifle owner when I say no such weapon would ever be used for self defense. It's not even practical. The only people that own .50's are collectors and competition shooters. The problem with a .22 is not the killing potential (which every firearm has) but the killing speed. With a .22 pistol you would have to bury quite a few rounds into a suspect to drop him. Where as a .40 pistol is much more damaging and able to stop someone much faster.

I find it slightly humorous that every gun owner was so afraid that big bad Obama was going to take away their gun rights. Nothing such has happened in over 6 months of his presidency. The thing I believe he is going for is he wants to limit sales on high caliber weapons such as .44 because the majority of them end up being used in crimes which a killing takes place. What should happen for everyone who wants a high caliber should be screened to see if they have any info leading them to gun crime

This video was probably shot by a group of people going up to the locals and telling them half-truths, and then asking for their opinions. From what was said in the video, I assume that no one really knew what was going on. Why were they so afraid of losing a right guaranteed by the Amandment? I think some of these people don't even know the role of the president or the limitations emposed on them.

Perhaps you should know what the hell you are talking about before you post. The .44 is hardly ever used in crime. Usually it's cheap small caliber weapons used like .25's.
What about "high caliber" hunting rifles which are almost never used in crime? Most are bolt action. Caliber really has nothing to do with it's use in crime. Usually it's very small, cheap easily concealable weapons used, And more over they are usually bought illegally on the street.

Than almost all deer hunting rifles, its .223 bullet is so small its considered a varmint round
Statistically as the caliber and power of the round increases, its LESS likely to be used in crime

Let me start off by saying every firearm is life threatening including low power weapons. And there is a need to own, more of a choice. People use them for recreation, competition, hunting, and even self defense (in the home). For more insight on this issue, just refer to the NRA website, which I doubt you will even look. But nonetheless you won't be able to counter their arguments.

Cheating spouses would of been stoned to death. 1000 y.o, slaves were accepted as part of society, and most people (commoners) HAD NO RIGHTS. Personal rights was only developed 200 years ago. 100 years ago, women were not seen as equals, they DIDN't work because it wasn't acceptable. Women could not vote, and marriage was common for women below the age 50's, minorities had no rights.

however, regulations on banks were put their for a reason, ways of income, that really created no wealth, such as bundle mortgages, so called "Investment Banking" would not of been if place if the regulations were not removed. I own many guns...And don't hunt...I think they are very good investments, you never lose on them...In fact since early November for some reason guns sales have gone up 56% and value on them has gone up 28%...So I've done pretty well at the shows....Assault rifles are way up...That's my favorite style of guns to sell...AR15 = ASSHOLE remover...Some of us want to keep our rights and don't drink Jonestown Kool Aid...Obama looks so good to the world...What a Brat !!!!

That's a very good point. Still, if someone came into my home trying to take away my guns, I'd shoot them, and probably die in the process. I'd still fire, and still resist. I don't care what the government calls it. I'm an American citizen and my rights are that sacred. Hopefully we can get out of that rut that is the two party system and the figurehead powerhouse. I can control my guns, sit still and I will show you, although it might hurt a bit. We do have the right to defend ourselves. No defense means no choice. If you had no arms and no legs you have no defense, if we have no guns then we have to rely on the arms of the government and I don't like their use of sign language....

Barack's exact policy on gun control is like his policy on everything else: it depends. He actively opposed the DC gun ban until a judge struck it down. Then he thought the court was right. Now, what he will do when he is driving the agenda remains to be seen. He is very narrow-minded, IMHO. My way or the highway up until now. I hope that changes because you don't bring folks along by browbeating them or worsse.
Now, it does not matter what the source is if it is accurate. Look it up.

Calling the police and having them respond in 20 minutes, many people can be killed with 1 illegal automatic weapon from China. (They've dumped illegal AK-47's in the Bay Area, CA in the past, got caught.)

The gun issue was already decided in the supreme court in favor of the gun owners. Short of a 2/3 majority to pass a constitutional amendment, which will never happen, they are just blowing smoke.
