  • I remember getting a tape from my cousin in the very early 90s.

It had artists like Wasp, Metallica and Anthrax and I think either Morbid Vision or SCHIZOPHRENIA from Sepultura.

I was probably six or seven years old at the time, Sepultura came as shock for me

it was the most evil sounding band I had heard at that point.

Its so fun to hear the tunes again.

    Thank God for Youtube! :-)

  • Esses caras sabiam o que faziam.

  • Mayhem should make a song named Sepultura :D

  • classical death metal?

  • max possessed

    igor skullcrusher

    jairo guedes

    paulo jr.

  • do caralho isso daí mano!

tenho esse em cd pela cogumelo (sem bonús)

  • Old Sepultura could land you in the hospital just by listening to their music

  • DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHRRRRR

  • its crazy that this whole album was recorded out of tune max says in the 2003 soulfly dvd. but it does sound like some kick ass evil because of that

  • i guess three people had no idea what thrash metal was

  • ..I believe this album should also be classed as an early Black Metal album.

  • @Dungarth It is classed as Early Black Metal

  • If it had a better production I think would be better than beneath the remains xD

  • LOVE THIS ALBUM!!

  • Sou brasileiro Khaoz!!!

  • i remember me and a friend were listening to this album back then on 1992 chugging up some brews, while this chicks wanted to hang with us ..all of a sudden one of them said oh metallica sounds great what album is it? we looked at each other .we go did you know this is sepultura? after they left ,i gave my drink a little sip ,then i couldnt contain myself from laughing again.thing is never argue with a lady about good music , the only time they should open their mouth is to suck cock

  • @bengativo6 i agree

  • @bengativo6

What a debilitated moron you make...

*Curses you* That unimpressive cock of yours shall never ever get sucked anymore...

Although i doubt this will make a difference in your current pathetic life.

That curse goes to all the fucking sick bastards who think the same way! Hum hum, 666TRASHMASTER

    ┌∩┐ ►_◄ ┌∩┐

  • Know your music fool, I agree. However, fuck you!

  • @bengativo6 that reminds me of a time when i was just getting into heavy music and of course master of puppets was my gateway. i was only 12 or 13 and my older cousin was playing slayer and I asked him if it was the new metallica. I was young and still ignorant but from that day forward i never slipped up again. I was hooked on heavy music.

  • fucking niggers come in and ruin bands, god that pisses me off

  • @falsehope444444 If you're referring to Derrick Green, I wouldn't say he ruined the band. They'd already started going downhill with that piece of crap Roots while Max was still in the band.

  • And a big, Fuck Off, to you too

  • 0:55---1:23 best moment ever

  • holy shit the quality fucking sucks! I LOVE IT

  • When i first heard this masterpiece few years back I couldn't believe what I was listening to. So fucking brutal, hardcore and whole lotta metal.

  • The REAL fucking Sepultura.

  • The singer sounds like timmy

  • sepultura sem o andreas é o melhor!

  • @chazenlindo e esse poser ainda vem querendo dizer por aí que foi ele quem fundou o sepultura, pode isso velho?

  • Comment removed

  • @iorost Wow, that was by far the most best and most accurate description of Sepultura I have ever heard.

  • This and bloody vengence are the best brazilian albums from '86.

  • Back when I was a teenager, I would often go to my room, turn off the lights and listen to this album. It truly felt like the devil himself was in my room. I also did that with Slayer, Deicide and Death's early stuff.

  • @SickerThanThou i do that today \m/

  • @SickerThanThou lmao me2 but im scared when tht happens

  • saudades do dead!

  • Morbid Visions is my favourite Sepultura album,

  • @MrIlive4metal and the most satanic album :P haha

  • @cepiefoc back in 86 i would say so, but theres also Sarcofago

  • This is FUCKIN SICK man BEST SHIT EVER!!!

  • 0:37 Will smith he regrets, wait whatttt????

  • @jfkdjfd I listen to Endless Pain and Pleasuer To Kill, Scream Boody Gore and Extreme Aggression but still Sepultura rules too!!

  • @fetonos Shut the fuck up.

  • @fetonos You've never heard a single song from Death to say something like that.

  • @fetonos A band can only be overrated if more people "like" a band than they deserve. Since only a very small percentage of people have even heard of the band, that is hardly even possible. Death deserves respect because of the influence they had on so many other bands

  • One again, I beg to differ.

  • @wolf4241991 I agree. There were bands out there playing full blooded death metal, that pre-dated the band death. And olny a full would call bloody vengence thrash lol.

  • Their first and only death metal album

  • masters of rot evil!

  • mosh pit tiimme!

  • Never heard about Metallica

  • fuckin emo poser killer song

  • @BlackDMUrder43 mitäs vittua?

  • @BlackDMUrder43 nevermind :D

  • Morbid Visions and Bloody Vengence= first true death metal albums. Death did not invent the genre, It was the Brazilian scene. Posessed was Death/Thrash, not full death.

  • I think the same can be said for Sepultura though. It's ambiguous and meaningless to attempt to pinpoint who was the first 'death metal' band, certainly. The inherent arbitrariness is hard to avoid.

  • @wolf4241991 I reckon this is death thrash, same with Seven Churches and Scream Bloody Gore. Mantas/Death was earlier, anyway..

  • @wolf4241991 Don't segregate it, segragate nu "metal" with a new term. I nominate nushittyperock.

  • @wolf4241991 yeah but theres a problem with your theory: neither of those are pure death metal either. in fact, there was no "pure death metal" until the 1990's. everything before that still had a huge thrash influence because the genre was still taking form. sepultura is thrash. scream bloody gore was dominately death metal, even if it did have some thrash left in it. death created the death metal sound. bands like sepultura and possessed were just large influences on death metal.

  • @thychaos Im sorry, But i have a hard time calling releases like Bloody Vengence, Misanthropy, Athropapagy, and numerous others to be semi-death. Death metal was in fact around in the late 80s. However, I see the point you are making saying that early death metal was influenced by thrash, because it was, but just because a genre was influence by another, that doesnt make it partailly that genre. For instance, Thrash metal Was influenced by Hardcore, but is Thrash hardcore? No.

  • @thychaos Regardless, I do respect your oppinion, My point was, I just dont believe that death was the very first death metal band, and other bands were playing the style before them.

  • @wolf4241991

But the difference is bands like this, Possessed, ect, had too much of a thrash metal vibe/sound to be considered truly death metal. Death had thrash influence, but not the sound. They were straight death metal.

  • @Likeyoucare No, I tend to dissgree. Contrary to what most think, I say Sepultura from '85-'86 was in fact more deathly than death/mantas. Vulcano as well. From the vocals to the riffs, there is a much more deathly feel. The thrash metal influences are much more obvious on SBG than BV or MV in my oppinion.

  • @wolf4241991

If you listen to the music you can hear it, it's way more thrash-y than Death. Really, no songs on the album drop tempo, the songs have the fast tempos of thrash, and that thrash feel. "Scream Bloody Gore" is the opposite, relying more on riffs that feel evil, not nearly as fast, and it doesn't feel like thrash. One can definitely tell it's death metal.

  • @Likeyoucare Look I guess when it all vome down to it, it all just a matter of oppinion. There are some who would agree with me, just as there are some eho would say exactly what you do. I respect you oppinion, but i still dissagree. And there is NO WAY anybody can tell me Bloody Vengence sounds like merely thrash. But at least we both can agree that these bands all had a role in creating the death metal genre, and while death is a great band( i especailly love leprosy) they didnt create dm imho

  • @wolf4241991

That is true, and really you can't change people's opinions. It's not, there are death elements, much like this, "Seven Churches", "Seasons of the Dead" etc, but those aren't straight death metal. Yes, a lot of the Brazilian thrash bands and German thrash bands played a key role in developing the sound. And I disagree, they created death metal, pure death metal without any thrash sound in it.

  • AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That scream at the beginning is frickin epic!

Sepultura: the best early death thrash metal band of them all.

  • evil good times

  • you have to be very asshole to listen to that musik

    hahahaha

  • @KONTARINI oh rly ? ok "nigger" I will start lisening your shitty rap :)

  • The guitar sounds like an angry wasp trapped inside an emty oil-drum. Great! -I hate how all the bands nowadays have "perfect sound" ..

  • @tingtongnidnoi I just left a comment on "Morbid Visions" praising the "dirty" guitar sound too. Very unique and cool.

  • sepultura sucks now, cause max and igor left. it's like hetfield and lars would leave metallica

  • Metallica became shit even with James and Lars.

  • i still like metallica

  • why they can't make music like this anymore?????

  • this is some awsome old school death/thrash metal but sepultura sucks now

    HAIL OLD SEPULTURA

  • Old school Sepultura is the best! Their new stuff fucking sucks in my opinion.

  • HAHA!! I love how max can compress full verses into one word!!! xD

still, its a fucking badass song!!!!

  • @doped47 yeah he was barely learning to speak english back then, smrwaing the words they way he did went way better.

  • what is known as DEATHTHRASH

i cant believe you can listen to the band sepultura now, except they sound like assholes now

  • stupendo... cattivissimo e brutale... un autentico classico del death...

  • damn i wish i could speak that quick...can barely make out what hes sayin but early sepultuyra has such an evil sound its so beautiful

  • @thrashtildethxx u are right

  • @thrashtildethxx

No wonder, he's not saying anything =D

  • Note that Brazil was far away from Norge trend posers.......

  • Hmm, I think they might have actually been Death Metal on this record. Either that or really, REALLY heavy thrash.

  • This is death.

  • This shit was good at that time..better than Norge poser trend!

  • CATERVA!

  • i love this album..but i love how the logo looks..like they were all "Yeah!! thats it!! we want crappy not even that good logo!!"

    hahaha..badass album though

  • the logo's definatly better than the stupid font they started using on "beneath the remains" though. Personally, I love the logo.

  • yeahhh man its got that old school death metal look to it.

  • its to far away of death metal gutural, and still, their first albums are the only one with this type of voice

  • can anyone american tell me if you can actually understand what hes singing ? im just curious

    im brazilian

i cant understand shit of what hes saying

but i still fucking like it

  • If anyone has ever understood the singing of any death metal vocalist, I have yet to meet that person. Fortunately for you, the uploader has posted the lyrics in the info tab, just click on "more info" and you'll see it. Your English writing seems pretty decent (better than some who have it as a first language), so I'm assuming you'll be able to read the lyrics no problem.

  • @s0cietysreject listen to the band death you can understand ever word

  • i've understood a lot of them. mostly, i can't hear the lyrics in general, but there some songs i can, like six feet under. death metal vocalists can be apreciated with lyrics on a paper, and next time you heard the same song live in a show, you understand the lyrics. anyways, this is not death metal

  • Well that's old school death metal to my opinion. 80's stuff.

  • it's a sepultura language...

  • i know im probaly gonna get 100 minuses but i do believe that this Black metal(and no nott because of lyrics he could of sing about green elephants i would still say it)

Doesnt matter though fuckin love this!!!

  • what is this kind of music dude ?? BTW i love this i just discover this shit tonight !

  • So you are very lucky guy!You just got into the real metal haha welcome to hell!!!

This is a proper South American Death Metal,if you like it check out Sarcofago,Sex Thrash,Mutilator,Vulcano,Chakal, and many others, all from 80s haha

  • dude i used to be strickly thrash but sepultura is fucking insane

  • stop that freakin ridicolous comments and leave sepultura as what theyve been, great stuff

  • yes, black metal is cool but sepultura is death metal

  • Not in this case, this is where black metal emerges, clearly not pure black metal like mayhem but close. Bands like sacofago, sepultura, and bathory are an example.

  • a band is not black metal just because is antichristian or satanic.... sepultura is definitely not black metal. . . they were born to do thrash metal then people said that their sound is so hard and extreme that they seams like primal death metal... but, really, black metal is totally another thing... bathory is primal black metal and mayhem is defenetely black

  • Right, but what bands do you think influenced the most mayhem and bathory ?

  • venom and partially motor head... sepultura didn't because bathory was born some year before seps...

  • Venom yes (lyrics), add some trash metal bands, also mercyful fate(mainly the corpse paint) and also bathory sounds way different before under the sing of the black mark.

  • GREAT DEATH METAL TIME
