  • Congratulations. It sounds like you got what you wanted out of Full Sail University. The accelerated programs and online course offerings are what students want and Full Sail fills that niche. There are plenty of people that just need a "degree," any degree, their employer is not that particular about reputation, school ranking or successful varsity teams. Unfortunately the shady part of the deal is you may be improperly "qualified" for more federal loans than you deserve by the FSU salesmen.

  • im only 12 and im goin 2 this school

  • As seen on CNN, a shill school for Mitt Romney. For-profit institutions are a great money-making venture. They are also responsible for more students defaulting on federal loan money than any other sector of higher learning.

  • @zippyman818 And you believe what a corporate puppet says? wow.

  • @zippyman818

i know plenty of people that go to university and when they get past their bachelor's degree the prices for classes keep going up. i know people who are in way more debt than i am. yeah i went to full sail...i know plenty of people who have gone on to be very successful. it has a lot to do with dedication. one of the great things about it is the accelerated programs. it took me 13 months to get my A.S. almost anywhere else would've taken about 2 years.

  • lol

  • Why do i get the vibe that this collage is a big advertisement for the macbook pro?

  • @nancyeford yeah because everything on the internet is true?...

  • Why the fuck final cut pro? adobe premiere is way better i dont get this they talk about professional filmmaking and use finla cut wtf???

  • @S1CKERthantheS1CKEST lol fyi Final Cut Pro is most popular in the Film Industry.

  • 0:34 Adobe AFX Rendering In 720p

  • Fulll Sail i love it <3 in love awseom best college ever!

  • ok to sum it a bit down unless you have a piggy bank full with cash you cant go here look up the prices this isnt cheep let alone free.

  • Im applying here :)

  • i went oto fusllsail and now ima professional in the 3d industry

  • Comment removed

  • i went to fulsail and they used torrents for class

  • Can you do a master there? I' m italian...

  • OMG every single day I always wanna go to that goal and increase my skill on my graphic arts. Someday I will enter to those doors, my goal , my dream is there just have to work hard to get there =)

  • my big brother inside of the school :D its not a scam

  • THis is where I need 2 be.....I would give my left nut 2 get into this university

  • i Need a student who is in the South Florida area that goes to Full Sail for recording engineering...I have a job for you and your team....first reply to this then ill send an email.Thank You

  • Ok I just realized it was in central florida but i will still travel up there...reply to this and i will give you ma email

  • DAMMIT I CLICK ON THIS ZOMBIE APOCOLYPSE THING JUST TO SEE THIS SHIT?! FML

  • so when you get accepted to full sail they will "give" you a mac book pro with final cut pro and all of those editing programs?

  • @EverythingMagic101

Anyone can go to Full Sail if you (1) Have a High School Diploma or a GED. (2) Have the money or co-signer.

BTW: Something you have to learn is nothing is given to you free. They may say your getting a "Free Mac Book Pro" but trust me you are paying for it in the long run somewhere either in the fine print or through tuition. But Full Sail gets deep discounts from Apple and Adobe for there products. Hope this helps.

    Eric

  • FilmRiot got me here, they went to this university and have there own show on YouTube it's amazing go check it out. And I want to o so bad, and I live in Canada but who cares

  • i want to go soo bad

  • @RenzoTVshow IKR??!?!?

  • I sense confirmation bias in these comments.

  • fake

  • Hmmm...thinking about going there.

  • I don't understand this whole "Scam" thing, in anything especially in the Media Industry u need to make a network, People go to Full sail maybe not for education (cuz you can get it anywhere) but to make, or develop their network, thats how u make it. thats how little by little you make a Name for yourself.

  • Full Sail is not a scam. You go to college to chase your dream so why go to full sail if your not serious about it? full sail seems like it gives you everything you will need to know about the entertainment industry but its up to you to get out there and get your career going. Dont get mad because they dont hand you a job right away they provide you with the tools you will need to know but its up to you to take the leap and get a career. They do their part now you gotta do yours. enough said.

  • hey im thinking about going here in cologe do you get to keep the macs

  • @airsoftace84

When I went, you were able to keep your laptop at the end if you paid $100 USD.

    No, I'm not joking.

  • BEST SCHOOL EVER

  • I was wondering to every Full Sail graduate , do they let you pick the people you wanna dorm with or do they chose?

  • @TechTongue there is no dorm they do help you with housing that is located near the univerisity but your really jus gonna end up renting an apartment :D

  • @TechTongue

There was no "dorming" when I went. When I went, it was up to you how you lived there, Most people find fellow students and bunk with them, or rent their own apartment while there.

  • I was wonder, to every full a

  • Well, you don't have to study at Full Sail in order to get the job you want. There are number of successful designers out there and they all went to regular universities.

  • The macbooks are garbage. I'm so glad I was in Game Dev to get a quality HP machine.

  • Dude you can't sit there and talk crap just because you failed at life and now you want to blame FS like they made you dumb or something. If you went there to waste your time, then don't expect anything out of it. I personally think that it's well worth my money, and to tell you the truth, I'm paying much less than I thought I would, for the level education, and the quality education I'm receiving.

  • Full Sail Rocks... It is what YOU make it... I hate that people sit there and talk so much crap about this school. Have you seen how many FS graduates have made it big time, have you checked out their staff.

  • My brother goes to that school :D

  • The thing with this school is that it's not worth the money.

  • What film school should I go to?!

  • lol is this video about Full Sail or Apple? (Apple logo at the end).

  • @TheBiffleCompany To be honest they are sponsored by apple, so they have to have product placement

  • I want to go to school at Full Sail but I don't think I am ready to move to Florida yet from Michigan.. I might go online but I know it is not as good.

  • @supergamer2346 lol im from Michigan too and i want to go here :C

  • @Sebatiger What part? What do you want to go for?

  • @supergamer2346 Programming, games and such.

  • @Sebatiger quik question, i was researchin the skool and some where it said i needed a bachelour in sumthin so i can go for a masters in game design

  • @Zayde101 so.. whats the question.

  • @Sebatiger lol, my bad... the question was is there no way i cn get my masters in game design with out payin an arm and a leg

  • @Zayde101 Might not be, its very expensive. I cant even afford it.

  • @Sebatiger yeah, so i looked into it and i can take the online course for game design in 8 semesters for 7,500

  • @Zayde101 Well, if you're really want to get a masters degree, I suggest you dont do what i did. Which was attend fullsail. You can get the same education if you just purchase all the books and software yourself, and pretty much teach yourself, and if you have the opportunity attend the CHEAPEST accredited university that offers a game design course.

I graduated from fullsail, but i still regret the decision and i'm 28. It's been about 7 years since I was there, and nothings changed.

  • @TheGreenPlague in other words u practically got the degree for nothin? aww man, i really wanted to go here. but maybe the perk of going to this college is the 'recognition' of magor gaming companys like nintendo and sony

  • @Zayde101 Well, if you can find a internship or a job while your there and really talk up fullsail and kinda use their name recognition, then it would be worth it...but fullsail doesn't have a very high job placement percentage. They say they do, but what they're actually doing is combining the percentages of the entire school, and not individual programs. Now as a music recording school, they are very good at placement, but everything else is a personal journey and gamble. good luck.

  • @TheGreenPlague Thanks for the heads up, looks like i have more hunting to do.

  • I would love to get a degree there, but I have a fam and cannot afford not to work full time , nor can i afford the school.

  • Full Sail University it's my dream :T

  • yeah all you need is a million dollars to attend the school........that's it, that's it

  • Save money, learn more. Buy your own books and equipment and teach yourself. Don't go to Full Sail.

  • WHY DO YALL SAY ITS A SCAM ? I REALLY WANNA KNOW !

  • apple is taking over the world

  • @provenknowledge How do you know it's a scam?

  • I want to go here, but i'm going to take online classes.

  • If you buy everything yourself, you can learn the same stuff and BETTER and actually OWN the editing suites, studios, gear whatever, instead of borrowing it for 20 hours of lab time from the school. I wish I could stamp this into everyones brain, You can BUY all the tools you need to be successful in the industry, AND go to a regular joe college, AND STILL save money buy not going to fullsail. If i had bought my camera, books, and computer and software, I would have saved 50,000. FS is a SCAM.

  • @TheGreenPlague Here you get to own the stuff they give you. They tell you from the start that there is no room for extra stuff so obviously you want college for the bullshit stuff that isn't relevant to an education. And it's very obvious you've never been here. So find a better place to bitch about rather than shooting down people's dreams.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheGreenPlague And I'm going to Full Sail fucker! And call me another fucking name you piece of shit lazy ass bastard!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheGreenPlague First off, you don't know shit about me. Unlike your lazy ass, I'm more willing to get out and take a chance with my name rather than waiting for people to come to me and blaming Full Sail because you don't get an industry job which they specifically say they don't give you. So perhaps you should find something better with your time then coming here shit-talking a school because you didn't take what they taught you and did something with it.

  • @phoenixgirl39 What, you can't read? You're such a hypocrite.

    1. You can't take the time to read that I am employed in the industry

    2. You don't see that I'm telling people they CAN make it like me, but without the help of facebook which is a scam.

    3. You're just bent out of shape because your in denial, you don't want to admit that you made a bad choice just like me and many others.

    4. You're a 19 year old little girl, and I know your name Natash Lorrain Wright. Can you say...Blacklisted?

  • @TheGreenPlague Can you say threatening dumb shit? You've just given me plenty of reasons to report your dumbass. And everything you say still proves your laziness.

  • @phoenixgirl39 lol, sure. Hey if you don't want future employers or networks knowing about your personal life, dont keep links to everything about you.

you can't sound tough when you're a adolescent malcontent barely popping out of her training bra, you don't know what theyou're talking about, or who the hell you're talkin to. I think it's best you just keep your trap shut before you make yourself look any dumber than you already have. Represent yourself as a professional for christ sake.

  • @TheGreenPlague Keep threatening me and coming up with shitty comments because you're not doing anything but making yourself look stupid.

  • @TheGreenPlague And you've got a lot of nerve to talk about Professionalism.

  • @TheGreenPlague Now if you don't mind, I'd like to get back to my life so leave me the hell alone.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @TheGreenPlague Either way you put it, you're obviously too lazy to do anything but wait for stuff to be handed to you on a silver platter.

  • @phoenixgirl39 Oh excuse my grammatical errors btw.

    HAVE FUN!

  • If you're planning on going into the entertainment industry, do yourself a HUGE favor, and do exactly what I'm telling you now. PURCHASE THE BOOKS TO TRAIN YOURSELF, & THE GEAR/COMPUTERS/ETC AND ENROLL IN A CHEAP AFFORDABLE 4 YEAR COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY.

You will make the same connections and networks at a the university of central florida or any other college that you would make at a film school if your worried about that. And apply for an internship for a studio while studying.

  • I'm only a fresh man but I really want to go this school

  • Full Sail isn't a scam, you're only scamming yourself if you expect to have a career handed to you on a silver platter. Full Sail is the easy part, the hard part is getting your name out there and getting your work and style known. You have to make an effort to gain what you desire. The people who are truly passionate about what they do will be the ones that obtain their career, and the people who can say that Full Sail is a scam obviously didn't go to Full Sail for the right reasons.

  • @jlethridge1 ...listen to how stupid you just sounded.

  • @TheGreenPlague look at your stuff and look at mine and let's see who sounds more stupid.

  • @jlethridge1 Still you, dumbass.

  • @TheGreenPlague I am an alumni of Full Sail and I have already gotten a shitload of freelance, internship interviews, and a bright bright future. Now whose the stupid sounding one?

  • @jlethridge1 No one expects to have anything handed to them, so you stupid for saying that. Full Sail is not the easy part, people have to work hard to afford, attend, and maintain that experience. So you sound stupid for saying that. You don't even describe the experience, or your position, so you sound stupid for talking about passion when the school doesnt teach passion. You didn't learn how to repair a panavision system did you? Nope. So you sound stupid. I have a BS degree from FS so stfu

  • @TheGreenPlague this degree got me a job at ESPN... yeah, total BS degree bro.

  • @jlethridge1 Yea actually. ESPN you say? Wow, guess you fit in with the retrobate scum of the earth that popularize and abuse the media. You are apart of the nations largest financial sinkhole! Congrats on your ethical standards. Not only do you support unsportsmanship at it's highest level, but probably sensationalize the sporting industry directly. Millions of kids can thank you for providing bad role models, false hope, and social regression. Fuck you poser.

  • @jlethridge1 But doesnt Full Sail help you find jobs once your bout to graduate??

  • @blackjack779 Yes, they have a great career development program that you are able to go to for the rest of your life. They'll do mock interviews, help you with your portfolio and your resume, and of course give you leads on jobs. The rest is up to you, it's up to you to land that job and begin your career.

  • @jlethridge1 Well in 2013 im considering Full Sail or Ai in Miami for Animation...The problem I have with Full Sail is that its a lil too expensive..

  • @blackjack779 Yes, it's very expensive. I recommend doing what I did; get your Associates in whatever program you're looking to get into, then complete your Bachelors or Masters at Full Sail. I saved somewhere around 20 grand by doing that.

  • @jlethridge1 And your right Full Sail ISNT technically a scam..heres the thing with some people that went to Full Sail that said "its a scam", they were spoon fed almost all their lives and expect to have the same results when they went to Full Sail. And once they graduate, they expect to get a phone call from EA Sports or some Hollywood Studio Center the next day

  • @jlethridge1 so what do you do again? whats an associates.

  • @Emilymoviefan I'm in Digital Art and Design, and an associates degree is a standard two year degree in most colleges.

  • @jlethridge1 Great advice ... Thanks

  • @jlethridge1 I'm very confident in my creativity, I'm a sophomore in high school. Would it be worth it to take the basic classes at local community college and then move on to Full Sail to get into my real passion?

  • @notessimodude short answer: if you can afford it. long answer: its not so much where you go to school (although that does help) its the skill and knowledge you have so anything you can do to get the skills and experience to achieve your dreams is definitely something you should do. No one will hire you because you went to fullsail they might interview you but thats it. all full sail will do is get you the interview. they'll hire you because of what you can do, so go learn whatever you can.

  • @clonedtoast Alright. So what course do you recommend? For reference, I'm exceptional for my age with sketching and I'd like to create a game of my ideas someday. I know I was a bit vague on that but I'd like a heads up on what my future looks like from here. And even if I graduate, exactly how exceptional must you be to be hired to some company, examples: Bungie or Activision?

  • @notessimodude alright or the record i dont work in the games industry but remember you'll be learning through out career so really just start by looking at all the different roles in making a video game choose the one that sounds like what you want to do. look up what they do and get some tutorials magazines and books about it. dont worry so much about how good you need to be and just get as good as you can be, and everything will fall into place, the harder you work the better you'll be.

  • i want to go here

  • Biggest mistake of my life? Full Sail

  • @TheGreenPlague if u don't mind me asking, why was it a mistake? and why are people calling this place a scam?

  • @timothyln12 Because if you're going to go to college, go to one that is nationally accredited, has attractive women, dorms, and one where you actually have time to enjoy yourself. You will lose two years of your life in classes, listening to guys who don't care tell you how to "make it in the industry", there is no extracurriculum sporting or anything. You pay for mediocre course instruction, books written by faculty and LIMITED time with labs and gear/equip. (cont.)

  • @timothyln12 Because the price is pretty high. That is the MAIN reason. I'm going into film and that's $75,000 in total.

  • i love this school!

  • i so want to go there

  • Dang im hearing alot of negative comments about this school, that I want to attend. Anyone know another school like this one? cause i want to major in animation.

  • I'd sell the MacBook and buy two PC's that perform better...

  • Fun fact: Did you know that if you are enrolled at fulsail and are half-way through the program (50%) or more, if you choose to drop out or not go anymore, you still owe them the full tuition... :)

  • @BeyondDGrave lol thats why you dont go unless its your dream and your willing to put out the effort. You dont look at a $78,000 tuition fee and attend that school unless your serious about it. Who goes to college knowing its $78,000 and drop out half way cause you werent serious about it? sounds like its that persons fault not full sails.

  • @gascan56

Perhaps they would not be satisfied with the teachers and felt they were wasting their time, lured in with a "flashy" intro (such as this video). Did you know that most of the teachers and lab assistants are FullSail graduates themselves? Students also complain about how they re-paint the walls vibrant colors every month to make sure that the school has a vibrant appearance. What "school" worries about their appearance that much if not to lure in new customers? ;)

  • @BeyondDGrave lol its a school where creative minds go so im sure they arnt opposed to changing the look every year or so. Im sure its not every month that could just be you but if someone chooses to not go to full sail just because they have cool videos and they paint their walls thats kinda dumb on their part haha. did you sit down with every student and hear them complain? did you interview every teacher to see if they were a grad? sounds more like opinion then fact.

  • @gascan56

I went there. They painted the walls with a fresh coat every 1-2 months. Students commented that it felt like we were on a disney cruise ship.

The general consensus in my class was that of a mixture of disappointment and cognitive dissonance about the school.

All I'm saying is to use critical thinking when choosing to go to FullSail. Weigh in what you get from it, and word-of-mouth as well. I can go further into detail in another post if you want.

  • @BeyondDGrave please do I am wanting to go there for film cause thats my dream career but i dont want to go there and spend $78,000 for nothing I just noticed that 84 grads worked on 24 projects that were nominated at the Oscars this year and its ranked in the top 5 film schools which is what opened my eyes to the school. But if you attended id like to get first hand feedback from an actual student. Was it really a waste? and if so why?

  • @gascan56

Critics say that you can learn the same materials online as you can from this school. While this is true, the one thing the school does offer that others do not, is an accelerated, focused curriculum, and a fast degree that you can use.

Keep in mind, unless you have 78K packed away, you will be like me, and will be continually making payments every month until the end of time.

  • @gascan56

Every person says "if you put enough effort into it, it's worth it", but the same can be said about researching for free online, or even going to a traditional school and focusing energy towards your passion. In the end of the day, what you pay for at fullsail, is a faster degree than a normal college, a slightly more focused curriculum, and also, you would need to pay for your apartment, and there's no way to hold a job while studying there as well.

  • @BeyondDGrave yeah, just like every other school you fagbot

  • @MrExit15

Let me give you an example. A school has a curriculum of 30 classes. Each class is priced. If I go to fullsail, and end up taking 16 classes, then for whatever reason, I cannot go there anymore, Fullsail will force you to pay the remainder 14 classes, even if you don't attend them. I know of no other "school" that does such a thing. Perhaps you can show me otherwise?

ps: Refrain from name calling. It may have helped you in the 6th grade, but serves no purpose here.

  • i can't wait til' i go to full sail just can't wait! it just sucks now because i have 2o wait 2 years

  • Help with studies? Check this out!!

  • Fact; Full Sail is not properly accredited. Also, If Full Sail was so prestigious then why does it host VERY expensive monthly recruiting campaigns and expensive mass mailings? Why do so many graduates work there? Full Sail is a Stafford Loan Parasite. If you do not have a talent for the field you want to work, you will not succeed. No one can teach you to be creative/ambitious. You either are or are not. The only thing Full Sail offers is a 100% worthless diploma, and massive mountains of debt.

  • @RootBeerFlavored

Fact: Full Sail is properly accredited. They do those recruiting campaigns cause for a University it is very young. Every school does it. Usually it's through sports. Full Sail does not have a sports program so they must do something. So unless you've been there and completed a program don't say that the school is crap unless you've experienced it. Like any other school you get out of it what you put in.

  • Is full sail worth it if you literally want to become a computer animator or game designer for your lifes career?i have the money and im working for scholarships, i just wanna know if it is worth it

  • @maplefan52 yes it really is...but I've been in Full Sail so far for 4 months and let me tell you..its A LOT of work. You need to be prepared for 21 months of work you can do in 4 years. And no its not a scam.....if you do what you have to, things will turn out alright.

  • This is used as Apple proagand for what fullsail is getting paid for it. Simple process but wealthy especially since apple was going downhill 3 years ago... Read video uploaded date

  • is this school worth it?

  • Lol all these whiners just have shitty portfolios, people that graduate this school that have real talent land some really nice jobs.

  • I'm poor so I can't go to this amazing school :(

  • @thehound120

Don't be too upset, there is better job placement in Community College

  • @STJRedstorm What are you trying to say?

  • @thehound120

There are better things you can invest your time and money on.

  • This school is HORRIBLE!!! I went there for the Bachelors in computer animation and now I'm back working at a supermarket for $8.85 per hour and $62,000 in debt that I'll never be able to pay off!!! Yeah, you'll earn a degree in "half the time" as a traditional brick-and-mortar university, but you'll also learn half as much b/c the classes are so condensed (and yes, I DID apply myself!) If you're considering Full $ale, just go to UCF down the road, it's 10x better than Rat's Nest U!!!

  • @mrrepeat If you couldn't find a computer animation job even after you graduated from Full Sail and working in a supermarket for $8.85/hr, then it's your own fault for not striving hard enough to keep on looking and ascend with what you learned.

  • @BatmanSpideyDa3rd You're probably still living w/ your parents, so STFU pal!!! I'd like to see you go to Full $ale and then hear you talk about ambition/motivation. You're just a little bitch who sucks at life!!! Asshole!

  • @mrrepeat I know I told you the truth because of your angry reply. I am pretty successful and I haven't even gone to College yet. I work hard AND smart to have what I got. And I gotta say my life is pretty incredible. If you went to Full Sail and realized it wasn't what you expected, then you should of took advantage of anything you could probably make use by any means necessary to use in the real world. Take to Survive buddy or the Business and economic food chain will eat you alive.

  • FULL SAIL IS A SCAM.

  • @provenknowledge Yea its such a scam that the director of the movie Saw 2,3 and 4 graduated film school from there. Look it up.

  • @ReachVidz

    1) It only takes money to get in.

    2) It is very narrowed in the field you are studying. There is a degree program for "Game Art" for example.

    3) It is considered a "degree mill" by most. New customers (students) graduate every MONTH.

    4) The only use the school was from what you could not learn online and for free, was that you had a piece of paper that you could use to increase the chances of getting a job. But what school can't offer you this (and at a lower price)?

  • @provenknowledge How so?

I'd love to hear your motives

  • @provenknowledge really i was thinkin of going there so please tell

  • @provenknowledge why is that?

  • @provenknowledge

How so? I was thinking of applying there for 2011.

  • No it is not!!! I have been in there movies!!! The People There are Awesome!!!

  • @provenknowledge how so??

  • @provenknowledge i'll like to know why you say its a scam

  • But if you go to NYU, it's NYU:) Please don't go here!!!! Not a good way to spend your money. I used to say that it would be worth it because you get your degree in a shorter amount of time but it's not a real degree!!!

  • Full Fail University

  • I mean... for a 70k tuition they better give you a MacBook.... Im just saying. fuk

  • @CPMET 70K for tuition sounds like a lot but you have totake thingsinto consideration. 1) these are accelerated courses. you're getting a degree in less than 2 yearsfor most fields. Go to NYU or AFI you will be spending A LOT of money as well. 2) we have ( in film, i'm sure in RA as well) amazing equipment. We haveaccess to goodcameras and great lights. Those lights are not cheap. I rememberholding a light worth more than 14,000.intimidating when it costs also so much to fix if you break it.
