  • loooks like a buncha queers to me

  • hmm

Robber: Shoot that bird, it's watching us since I saw the video.

Bird: (dead) a lot of money wasted

    Robber: So long suckers!!

  • That's a building of Wageningen University, not Delft @ 0:26. strange?

  • What were you thinking? It might look like a bird but it still cannot land in trees!

  • Ok boys let's go bird huntin

  • Thankfully, it's a failed project. America already had enough shit on spying their own citizens.

  • It could work, they just need to use a Gyroscope camera to keep it steady.

  • it would be better...if they used a less shitty camera

  • @moviesunrated yeah but what if they get cut down but a pretty cool idea

  • Gives me an idea! How about surveillance trees :D

  • @moviesunrated haha wow

    Ur a genius :)

  • Rednecks are also inbreads to lol, they dont hav any eyelids so they could shoot it lmao. Its as bad in the south of USA as it is in Norwich lol, sept in norwich they have webbed hands and feet... Lmfao ;)

  • it's very difficult to design machines as complex as living creatures,i don't think this design is going to work,if it did it will just act less as a bird.

  • Is no match against Southern red necks.. Those people can identify birds and shoot things eyes close!

  • ahaaa

  • Haha the tree won.

  • :D:D:D:D TREE WIN!

  • the birds arch enemy........a tree lol

  • I get the idea and it sounds good for the things its designed for but they aren't gonna get very good quality videos if they don't stabilize the camera.

  • Wow, the camera is terribly bad

  • they better make future models like the things from Metal gear solid 4, that would be incredible

  • @JBwizzy92 They already have the Cypher, made by Sikorsky in the 80s.

  • that's sad... hope they fix it soon :P

  • LOL i would so just shoot at that lol PULL

  • Good we have enough shit watching us

  • @dustydog67 They're not watching you, don't kid yourself.

If you get mugged you'd be grateful for the CCTV footage that gets used as evidence in court.

  • police gonna have alot of headaches vewing that

  • hmm looks like good target practice

  • Its a bird! ; Its a plane ! ...wait , oh shit !

  • lol can u really actualy capture any good shots from this thing? lol really?

  • hello

  • Screwed if the enemy have gone out shooting for the day

  • win

  • lol the enemy just has to shoot everybird in the sky... thats if it doesn't fail..

  • it is a shame orwell didn't mention bird cameras in 1984

  • @Tommanc1 we should use them to spy the government

  • lol

  • yaht another way to spy on us...

  • lol

  • if people think 'hey its a bird' when they see one then the do need to be surveyed

  • i have a briliant idea - make a flying penis - no one will think its a plain, or a bird either...

  • @TzarNicholas2 they already did. ask Garry Kasparov. lol

  • Surveillance of what exactly? You could barely tell whether it was looking at the ground or the sky!

  • We all do love a good FAIL!

  • lol rubbish

  • "It's not only a very efficient flyer.

Because it looks like a bird.

    It's also 'IN-CON-SPICK-IOUS'.."

    In-con-spick-ious.....

  • @Fusi9n lmao!! right on xD

  • movement is far too rapid to be used for surveillance.. major waste of time,,,

  • total fukn waste of time

  • pedo cam

  • that dry quality

  • Doesnt a county in England already use a mini remote control helicoptor which goes faster and you can ACTUALLY SEE WHATS ON THE VIDEO.

  • @Alexc3217

Parrot, the company that make Bluetooth handsfree kits among other things make a number of very good helicopters with a camera etc attached. Think it works with the iphone pretty well too actualy

  • another toy for big brother to spy on us!!!!!

  • why not use a helium filled ballon on a crab catch line?

save some fuckin tax payers cash!

  • @snrav3r lets see you steer a balloon, idiot

  • if they tried this in america i wonder how long it would be before sombody shot it.

  • it wasnt exactly flying smoothly...... If i was watching the screen i would feel sick

  • .... Unfortuantely the Roboswift is no match for a tree...

  • Soon it will be advanced enough to hover outside bedroom windows lol

  • nicccc

  • does it poo?

  • they're going to need much better image stabilization before this is useful, but that can be done.

  • @Wellgot so true,it's very difficult to design machines as complex as living creatures.

  • what happens whne it goes into a bird hunting area xD

  • @livinghippo or if a kite comes and eats it.

  • These comments are why your on here and not working for a lab like theirs.

Satellite imaging is not as good in RL as in the movies. Google earth for instance, the image is to about 2000feet then its aerial pics. Satellite take a lot of time to re-position, cost a LOT of money and are only effective for mill with no clouds

  • um why tell people to shoot birds if they want to keep secrets.... its like saying "we have made stealth technology that makes you invisible but the only draw back is that you see a blue tinge around you... so now look out for this if you dont want to be infiltrated

  • are you joking? look how much it's moving the camera is so unclear...

  • Such a waste of time and money...

  • too unstable.

  • okay, that tree crash just looks too fake.

  • itd be fun flying it around but u cant "observe" SHIT with that shitty camera

  • i bet if the police start using those, the deathrate of birds will go up like hell :/ ^^

  • I can imagine that in the future, criminals will be shooting down every bird they see in case it's a robot!

  • I think they bought a $5 webcam to use for the camera.

    :P

  • shitty Surveillance... cant the government already see you from space using satelittes?

  • @wiseye61 According to James May the most accurate satellite cameras are only accurate to within a metre, I imagine that's not the case though.

  • @wiseye61 The problem is that satellites are affected by things such as their orbit and cloud cover, etc etc. First the thing you want to see has to be in line of sight of the camera and then it has to be unobstructed by clouds, bulidings etc etc.

With something like this you could use it whenever you needed.

  • it's not a "bird fail", it's a VIDEO FAIL.

  • @TheSunmanho Yeah, this thing works, so WTF

  • all that money invested in R&D and they skimp out on the camera....

  • did he die?

  • Lol

    It's duck hunting time.

  • amazing qaulity... :L.

  • I though this was Failblog...when i read the title.

  • @lilgirlsj me too ! :P

  • now i will have to make extra sure the birds outside my window are real...

  • @ash9023 oh god, LOL

  • not only did it fail with hitting the tree but you cant see anything in that video because its moving too much

  • @abc11447741 i doubt this is the end product, it's more likely a prototype so you can't expect miracles.

  • imma gonna kill every bird i see ;D

  • then made robotic fish..

  • its like a spy game

  • Everyone stock up on AK47s and get yourself a nice scope. This will quickly take care of any robotic bird invading on your privacy

  • no privacy?

  • this thing MIGHT work if it has a better camera

  • lol good??

what are you going 2 see, the thing isnt still ffs

  • I can just see a bigger bird go "BITCH MY TERRITORY"

  • Buy a better wireless camera should help :P

  • xD

"unfortunately, it's no match for a tree"

  • a great way to catch rooftop snipers in the future...

  • @M1kaTck not Unless snipers soot them out 1st? am I not right?o-o

  • @oishiininja yeah you'r right, it would seem like they'r playing "Duck Hunt" though xD

  • Fortunately you can't see Shit.

  • look they made a new toy for pedophiles

  • @HeadMan12345 hahahahahahahahahahaha I laughed so hard!

  • @HeadMan12345 Says he on the INTERNET!

  • @IwatchUKTV ur on the internet too?

  • @HeadMan12345 so so wrong lol

  • @HeadMan12345 you read too much daily mail

  • @HeadMan12345 that would be true if the camera could keep steady xD

  • lol

  • @yommomalama I also hope i am fail in my forecast.

  • This millennium will be controlled from the robots. This is just the beginning to use it for surveillance later to kill all humans.

  • @IQ20000Berta lol

  • Lol fail indeed.

  • they have some nice ideas, hope they reduce the birdshit that is stick on my car right now :p.

  • i thought this was diagonaluk not failblog shit man

  • or, robot surveillance air

  • is it chopstick proof for chinese people?

  • Yea thats what Ill think it is...a ..uhh bird.

  • lol! watch out for the tree! splat!

  • ...they forget to put camera sensors on the eyes :l

  • you would need some kind of program to stabilize that video or it would be useless

  • WAHAHAHAH SO FUNNY

  • hehehehe :D

  • Well... good enough! I want one :D

  • ahahahhahah roflmao at the end :P

  • the camera looks so hard to control lmao

  • that would b so hard to fly..

  • The tree killed roboswift! 0.0

    That bastard!

  • the neverland, the land where u never know: lal

  • i wouldn't want to watch that kind of video. if they could find a way to make it steadier. and in HD. maybe attaching a flip to it.

  • They're working on one that lands on your window ledge and looks through the window.

  • its an UAV! :D

  • Lol, wow.

  • can haz flying ability? yes

    can haz recording ability? nope

    can haz non-retarded pilot? nope

  • Unless he fires HIS ALZOR GLAAGHHHH!

  • @DrSniperLT wats an alzor? lol

  • @moonmanperez he wanted to say LAZOR! :D

  • @moonmanperez I ment LAZOR

  • ya,i dont think looking at a video that is flippin around will do any good.

  • This gave me an idea. They should make Robotic surveillance trees

  • @super1commenter haha thats a great idea

so then this bird thing could land on the tree to charge and have a stable platform =D

btw if you make this i get 40% of the profit

  • @super1commenter GENIUS!!!

  • @super1commenter Just fifteen years to set up ! Whee!!

  • @ridingisasport yay!

  • considering you must turn around 10 times to observe an area, this is not smooth or good at all

  • @comedyman112 better than nothing

  • If you were to use that bird to hunt you would just shoot it by mistake O.o

  • @ucrono i live in holland and hunting is forbidden but...good joke

  • Is it bulletproofed against hunters?

  • @Wormie356 It is illegal to shoot some birds also if its controlled they wont go in shooting areas ( Its illegal to shoot in non shooting areas ).

  • @THESEXYFLUMP unless they use it for military,,,,

  • @Wormie356

    I think it's Cheney proof

    oh wait...

  • @Wormie356 lmfao it should be

  • So, does it come equipped with countermeasures against hawks and falcons?

  • The picture quality from the camera wasn't very good.

  • @TheSoundDepo No but as I answered to the guy in the video below, there's probably a lot they can do about that. I think in this case they simply wanted to test if it had any potential and if the wireless connections etc work, but you have to admit - it's pretty cool! I want one. :D

  • wow they cant fly it let alone watch it for long periods i think they are better off using still shots with that unstable thing. also if that looks like a bird flying then that bird is drunk.

  • @dsc45 You do realise that inventions and progress come in stages? Nobody said this was the final product, it's probably a very early prototype - there's a lot they can do to better the picture quality but at this stage they're probably only testing 'Does it work at all?'.

And it looks like it's ment to come off as a Swallow, that's prettty much exactly how they fly.

  • lool

  • lmao owned

  • hahaha
