Well, being a professional fly swatter probably makes more sense. 50% of my time is spent as a Mac consultant and 50% of my time as a touring slam poet. The Mac consulting accounts for 80% of my income. And with the poetry most of the money comes from teaching school workshops for $400-$750/day. And when performing its normally about $300/hr BUT a feature gig is normally 30 minutes or $150. And you don't have a feature every night. College performances do pay $500-$1000.
