recent news is that because of the Droid Apple is now talking with T-Mobil rather then Verizon

yeah but it'd be a whole new iphone because they'd have to change out the radio...CDMA.

Currently the iphone is a GSM phone.

Verizon = CDMA

AT&T/Tmobile/everywhere overseas = GSM

The contract with Apple and AT&T is though to the end of 2010. Then Apple can contract with anyone, ie: Verizon!
