  • theres a metal one. it glows doesnt flash and it doesnt talk. the metal one is $50 while the plastic is $30...also the plastic is bigger than the metal. metal is about 2 inches in diameter. Hope this helps!

  • It would have been better if the watch said the actual lines it did in the episodes.

"Keep me safe. Keep me hidden. The time is not yet right."

  • @1DarksAngel1 agreed

  • guys, if you have this and want to know how to stop the sound (i personally think its shit quality sound and i hate it) and just use it as a watch then you have to take out the middle 2 batteries. there are 4 batteries and the 1st and 4th are for the time and the 2nd and 3rd are for the light and sound :)

  • just ordered this, hope its worth it ;)

  • Is this going to be rereleased in a couple of months? I've seen listings on Entertainment Earth and it looks exactly like this one

  • Wouldn't mind having a metal version, so I could gut it and put a decent timepiece in.

  • I.ve got a real pocket watch a metal one

  • I like the watch - but does it really need the flashing lights and quotes? I feel like that makes it a bit of a kid's toy, detracting from the quality.

  • What a crappy toy. It would be awesome to get a replica of the real thing. That just looks like crap and what's with the dodgy light show. Guess it's alright if your six but not for a real collector.

  • The doctor had to become a normal human so trapped All his memories an his timelord powers into it. The if he got into trouble she had to open it and let him free from it.

  • in doctor who wat is it actually used for?

  • @Benzer3 A fob watch is a storage unit used to store the memories and biology of a Time Lord by using a machine called the Chameleon Arch (a device that rewrites every cell of an individual to a specific species). The watch has a perception filter to prevent the Time Lord from noticing it. Those familiar with the watch or telepathic are immune to said filter. When opened by the Time Lord, it restores their original physiology and memories. Others will only see the memories within the watch.

  • @Benzer3 Memory storage, check out Family of Blood and the prequel, which escapes me at the moment but I think it's either the third or fourth season and a damn good episode with Davy Tennent

  • where did you get that i want one

  • I want this!

  • how much did you get that crap for 99p down the 99p store

  • so every time you open it, does it make sounds? or is there an option where it just lights up or something? if I'm using it as a watch, I don't want it to start ringing out hahahaha.

  • skdjngwsdjgf

what the heck, it will let me post spam, but not a question?????? piece of crap! where do u get a metal one?!?!?!?!?!!?!?

  • @tnd436 Try online like the forbidden planet...I don't know anyshops that sell it...Maybe Toys 'R' Us

  • skdjngwsdjgf

  • does it actually tell time?

  • @TheMrflipnote

    yes it does

  • Not sure if I like it, I'll probably get the Master's.

  • I want a metal one.

Can someone teach me how to build my own Fog Watch?

  • How much would that cost plus shipping?

  • ...it's fob. Well done, smart-ass.

  • lmao, that guy pwned himself

  • @DragonPainting FOB watch

  • @DragonPainting your soooooo clever, in your dreams atleast

  • @DragonPainting i thort it was FOG lol

  • @DragonPainting I assure you, it's Fob. A "fob" specifically refers to a medallion or ornament attached by a chain. Since it's a watch, it's called a Fob Watch, as it hangs by a chain.

  • does it keep real time?

  • Yup.

  • is it just a piece of plastic or is it metal?

  • Piece of plastic.

  • You can get metal ones, though.

  • @JastLives Where abouts?

  • @IlidianStormrage The chain is metal though, isn't it?

  • @IlidianStormrage The Doctor's fob watch is plastic apart from the chain (in shops) and the Masters is fully metal...

  • @JastLives Looks plastic and a ripoff for what you pay out, in my case $49.95 + shipping. Would rather have a metal one but some cost $200 and up.

  • i think im gonna try my hand at getting the less toyish metal version :/ its for my job and the metal one is backlit without all the noise and non sense thanks for the vid it really helped me out with choosing

  • seemz a bit toyish?

  • Comment removed

  • @microjojo123 it is a toy though

  • LOL, the first time you hear the doctor on the fob watch he sounds like a baby

  • omg i want buying links

  • @bloodyGr ebay it dr who fob watch

  • Hey I have that Fobwatch

  • Hey guys is this worth getting 4 my birthday? please reply asap

  • no its not

  • i got that

  • got 1

  • Thanks - you just helped us to decide not to buy two of these for friends of ours. This may not be the outcome you hoped for when uploading it, but truly we are very grateful.

  • lol imagine if someone found a real one and opened it

  • @Timelord1104 if i found one and opened it and found out i was a timelord i would have so much fun

  • @Timelord1104 OH DEAR.

    I praise this comment.

  • is it metal or plastic?

  • Its plastic unfortunatly...i got one for my brithday. The sound is screwed up but i love it anyway!

  • I ordered mine and I can't wait till it gets here

  • My old Mathematics Teacher wore a Fob Watch and when we did Experiments in Chemistry once because he was filling in, he wore a Helmet that's similar to a Chameleon Arch, Scary

  • does it make noises when you open it or do you have to press another button to make noises??

  • i saw how the person pressed the button on the side to make the sound, so the top button is for openning it and the side one is for sound

  • this is a good toy but i thihnk there should be two sounds, one that is heard in human nature wen the watch is opened (woman speaking ) and the one that is on it already.

  • I have just ordered one :D

  • this would be awesome... if it didnt have those awful tinny recordings and pathetic light ups

  • I agree,I mean wtf with the sounds? Then again it wold just be a normal fob watch with patterns without it

  • I agree especially the light up things even with just the patterns you'd know what it was

  • Sure he's not a Timelord in disguise? ;)

  • I saw 1 of these in Asda, I was gonna get it. I wish I had now!

  • yay got mine YAY its the best :D

  • Well, it's to be expected really because it's called 'The Doctor's Fob Watch' (even though it's modelled on the Master's >:@ ) - I'm hoping that maybe Character Options will release it again with Master sounds - would make a nice variation. ;)

  • The doctor had the same one in "Human Nature" and "The Family blood"

  • I know. However, the Doctor didn't have a chain on his fob watch, and the watch face is quite different - if you check you can see that it is modelled on the Master's watch.

  • What a shame it doesn't feature Jacobi's "Open me you human fool! Open me and receive my light, my majesty!"

  • Cool! I'll look out for that.

  • I'm really sorry but my video is late - my stupid internet connection

  • I've got one but its hidden away for my birthday which is in 3 days. If you look at my videos in 3-5 days you should see my review of the doctor who fob watch. Nice vid man! DOCTOR WHO RULES!

  • damm i new i shouldent of bought one from ebay its taking 4ever and i,m so inpatient! lol

  • Good news for anyone who'se having trouble in finding these in shops . All thou these are in Argos , if you're local Argos store doesint have any in stock , then visit the Who Shop in East Ham , London , just opposite East Ham Train Station , the price is abit higher there , but they have loads as i brought one from them yesterday , so go there if you want one .

Cheers , Jason [ Doctor Who One ]

  • Nope, plastic. It's a good effect though - it looks quite convincing, and even has a 'tarnished' effect.

Timey-Wimey Detector would be great! Maybe a bit big for Character to do though. A good one for them to do would be Captain Jack's Vortex Manipulator wrist strap - about the right size, and what with Torchwood Series 2 airing now...

  • Can I ask is it made of metal?

  • Im hopefully buying one of these tomorrow up Argos in Barking . I checked in the Argos catalougue if it has Batteries and it does , thank you Character Options , you gotta love those people ! , now if only they could make a toy version of the Timey-Wimey Detector from Blink ! nah , just kidding .

Cheers , Jason [ Doctor Who One ]

  • That's right - mine was the last one in Argos, which is just about the only place you have much chance of getting it from.

I've now removed the chain from mine too.

  • very few people have got one of these watches, there not very many in circulation yet.

  • :) Glad you all like it.

  • wow nice lol i thought it would be metal but this is so cool!!!

  • GOTTA GET ME ONE OF THOSE! Why do I have to live in the U.S.?

  • YES PLEASE!!!!!
